1. INTRODUCTION
This document covers the requirements for piping specification of the FPSO P-67 Hull; it
was based on I-ET-3000.00-1350-940-PEP-001_C (General Technical Description) and
DR-ENGP-1.1-R.3 (Piping Standard and Material for Oil Production and Process Facilities),
and provides additional piping specifications not covered by the document DR-ENGP-1.1-
R.3.
The letter “H” has been added between the letters and the numbers of the new
specification and component tags to distinguish from the ones in DR-ENGP-1.1-R.3
(Piping Standard and Material for Oil Production and Process Facilities).
This standard applies only to the Hull Systems Piping on the Floating Installation and does
not apply to subsea pipelines, risers, or others not described in GTD.

The additional piping specifications of this standard are listed below. For detailed
description of the additional components see sections 7 and 8.
The determination of the basic piping material is required to meet the process conditions
such as process fluid, pressure, temperature and flow, and the environment of the process
facility. After definition of the basic piping material for the process or utility stream, a
suitable piping specification shall be selected and identified on the P&ID´s.
Carbon steel piping internally coated with polyethylene (spec B14H) shall not have welded
connections.

Notes:
1. Instrument, drains and vents connections shall be according to appendix 1 to 4.
2. Bolts and nuts shall be Zn-Ni, coated, according to appendix 5.
3. Isolating joint see drawing on the appendix 7.
4. Pipes, connections and fittings shall be galvanized (min. thickness 125 µm) according ASTM A123, after fabrication of the pipe
spool.
5. Use only for open drain classified lines, DAC service, and TCR service on main deck lines.
6. When Classification Society requires Metallic Material, this Spec shall be used.
7. For penetration pieces, see drawing I-DE-3010.92-5000-200-OVX-109.
8. Use only for BWG service. For bottom and side shell valves use flanged type of B10H/B15H standards.
9. Use nipple THD X PLAIN and threaded cap (TAM-04) after drains and vents, and sounding, blocking.
10. For shell connections (sanitary bilge and scupper, overboard), in WW and DAM services, the pipe wall thickness must be: 2
1/2" ≤ DN ≤ 8" – SCH 80.
11. Spectacle flanges shall be according to API 590/ ASME B16.48 / N-120. Use FIG8H-02; spec B3H, for TCR system on main
deck penetrations pieces.
12. For drain pipes passing through fuel and ballast tanks, the pipe wall thickness must be: 1" ≤ DN ≤ 2" – SCH 160 /// 2 1/2" ≤ DN
≤ 8" – SCH 80.
13. Use welding neck only for classified drain area, DAC service.
14. Use nipple THD x PLAIN and threaded coupling (L-06) for pressure instruments.
15. Bending machine can be used as an alternative to the curves forged, since the bending is in accordance with ASME B16.49.

1.1.1 - Class 1 – The deposits should have a minimum 8% and maximum 12% nickel
content;
1.1.3 - Type E – Plus organic Topcoat degree ASTM 8, μm (minimum Zn-Ni coating
thickness micrometer) and 15, μm (maximum Zn-Ni coating thickness micrometer).
1.4 - Final Inspection – The layer should be inspected with a micrometer, delta scope
or radiograph.
This appendix defines the fundamental process stages and the minimum
characteristics required for internal coating with Polyethylene for application in
sea water systems and flanged carbon steel piping:
1.2 - The preparation of the pipe's internal surface prior to application of the
internal coating should be at least Sa 2 1/2 (to the near white metal),
in accordance with the standard ISO 8501-1;
2 - The polyethylene coating applied to the internal surface of the carbon steel
piping should possess the following principal physical and mechanical
properties:
2.2 - Minimum tensile strength of 190, 120 and 59 Kg/cm2 and minimum
axial elongation of 260, 500 and 187% at -40, 23 and 60ºC
respectively. Tests performed in accordance with the standard ASTM
D638;
2.8 - The internal polyethylene coating allows a maximum work flow rate of 5
m/s when the water contains suspended solids, of the coarse sand
type, and 10 m/s when the water does not contain solids;
2.9 - The maximum permitted temperature for the use of the internal
polyethylene coating with water is 70ºC;
3 - The piping coated internally with polyethylene should satisfy the following
minimum requirements upon delivery:
3.1 - During the final inspection, first perform a visual check that there are no
discontinuities or projections along the entire surface of the pipe coated
with polyethylene, then perform an inspection using a Holiday Detector
with a 10 kV direct current. Any kind of discontinuities/sparks on the
internal surface and/or coated flange faces of the pipe will not be
accepted.
3.2 - The finish of the internal surface of the pipe coated with polyethylene
should be smooth and, the flange face should be sanded with fine
sandpaper until a smooth surface is achieved. The polyethylene coating
should cover the entire contact face used to seal the flanges.
This appendix defines technical data of organic coating for valves. The
manufacturer of valves shall be agreement with the applicator for supply.
1 - The preparation of the metallic surface prior to application of the coating should be
at least Sa 2 1/2 (to the near white metal) in accordance with the standard ISO 8501-1.

This appendix define the requirements for receiving activities (inspection, tests,
packaging, storage and preservation) of industrial valves in UNIT P-67 at GUARÁ field,
establishing minimum requirements to be met throughout the supply cycle, either in
cases of acquired valves by third parties.

2. DEFINITIONS.
EPCista - Service provider, PETROBRAS’ supplier responsible for the EPC contract
(Engineering, Procurement and Construction).
Vendor List - List of qualified companies to supply equipment, materials and
services.
3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.
3.1.2. The Inspection and Testing Plan developed by the supplier shall allow the
identification of stages, throughout the valve production cycle, where it shall be done
checks or inspections, including those carried out by material or service suppliers.
Note: This document shall indicate the types of examinations, tests or checks to be made,
as well as procedures and/or applicable instructions, acceptance criteria and issued
records.
3.2.1. Supplier shall have and present the procedures and instructions for
inspection of all expected activities in PIT.
3.2.2. The procedures shall present the acceptance criteria and reference
standards or specifications of which were based on, they shall also be submitted for
review and comments by the inspection responsible company and posterior approval by
PETROBRAS.
3.3.1. Qualified companies to provide services for the supervision, inspection and
testing of valves, cited in this Specification, shall be registered in the Vendor List of the
project or supply contract.
3.3.2. The final inspection shall be done on the manufacturer facilities, which
shall be witnessed and approved by a supervisor or professional (inspector), indicated or
approved by PETROBRAS, or Member Company to the Project "Vendor List",
qualified by PETROBRAS/E&P.
3.3.3. The final inspection shall include at least the following checks:
3.3.6. Verification, by sampling, the actuation torque and the grasp torque of the
joint body and cover screws/prisoners.
- It shall not be allowed the use of tape or Teflon paste (except cast iron valves,
bronze or resilient sealing) as an auxiliary element to seal threads, metal x metal (ex:
NPT).
- Cavity relief tests: when it is applicable, shall be made by the manufacturer,
witnessed, by sampling, by PETROBRAS. If it is confirmed the control of the process,
to ensure the repeatability of the specified characteristics in the homologated project,
the company can be released from this test under PETROBRAS approval.

4. FUNCTIONAL PRESSURE TESTS.
4.1.1. The torque required to open the valve shall be measured on the valve stem
during the final tests at the factory, under maximum differential pressure, according to
table A, as follows:
1. Open to close position, with the valve passage pressurized and with the body cavity
under atmospheric pressure.
2. Close to open position, with both sides of the valve pressurized and body cavity
under atmospheric pressure.
3. Close to open position, with one valve side (A) pressurized along with the body
cavity and the other side (B) opened to atmospheric pressure.
4. Close to open position with one valve side (B) pressurized along with the body
cavity and the other side (A) opened to atmospheric pressure.
4.2.1. The torque required to open the valve shall be measured on the valve stem
during the final tests at the factory, under maximum differential pressure, according to
table A, as follows:
1. Open to close position, with the valve passage pressurized and with the body cavity
under atmospheric pressure.
2. Close to open position, with both sides of the valve pressurized and body cavity
opened to atmospheric pressure.
3. Close to open position, with one valve side (A) pressurized along with the body
cavity and the other side (B) opened to atmospheric pressure.
4. Close to open position with one valve side (B) pressurized along with the body
cavity and the other side (A) opened to atmospheric pressure.
Note: The beginning, intermediate and resettlement torques shall be recorded where
applicable.
4.3.1. The relief test of the body cavity seat shall be done after the hydrostatic
test and before the functional tests.
4.3.3. It shall be increased the pressure in the body cavity, gradually, until the
pressure is released, the same shall be done until the second seat releases the pressure.
4.3.4. The results shall be recorded in reports or forms for valve documentation.

5. POST-TEST ACTIVITIES.
5.1.1. When the painting process is part of the contract, the supplier shall present
the valve painting plan, according to PETROBRAS and approved by Painting Inspector
Level II.
5.1.4. The supplier shall foresee in the Painting Plan that the surface areas
between flanges of the union body x cover and castle be painted according to painting
procedure contract. Ex: manufacturer standard.
5.1.5. The color definition applied to valves shall meet the ET-3000.00-1200-956-
PCI-001 (Color Code – Painting, for UEPs).
5.2.1. The supplier shall have instruction which defines the systematic of
identification, marking and traceability of valves components mounted.
5.2.2. The supplier shall physically identify and track all critical components
defined by the project, for each product, through traceability lists of components and/or
fabrication lot per product.
5.2.3. Each valve shall be identified with an individual serial number, beyond the
individual identification of components defined as critical, enabling their effective
traceability. The identification component per lot is allowed only if this systematic allows
tracking all critical components per valve.
5.3.1. The supplier shall submit for analysis, comments and PETROBRAS
approval a method that defines the systematic of handling, preservation, packaging and
shipping to all components and equipment included in scope of supply (including
actuators).
5.3.3. The method shall include conservation conditions of seat components and
endings throughout the production, especially after the tightness tests, where it shall be
checked the cleaning and drying of the valves before packing.

5.3.4. This method shall also inform the antioxidant used for internal parts
protection, as well as unpainted external parts, such as screws, nuts and bezels. (Figure
1).
5.3.5. For valves made of brass, stainless steel and other metal alloys called
"nonoxidizable", the method shall indicate the protective against dust and moisture.
5.3.6. After the protective application, all valves shall have their cavities blocked
by rubber plates or plastic material and glued outer surfaces of the flanges in order to
keep out dust and moisture.
5.3.7. The valves which do not have proper conditions to remain upright, shall be
supported by wooden board bolted to the flanges and mounted on a rubber protection or
plastic film, allowing its positioning in the upright. (Figure 2).
5.5. DATA-BOOK
- Certificates of Compliance;
- Copy of all reports issued by the company responsible for inspection and
approved by PETROBRAS.

6. RECEIVING INSPECTION
6.1. The receiving inspection shall be done without causing damages to the package
and without compromising the preservation of the valves.
6.2. It shall be carried out the documentation verification and its compliance with the
product (plaque identification, serial number, valve pressure class, etc.).
6.2.1. This documentation shall also contain the certificate of material releasing,
at the factory, duly signed by PETROBRAS representative and the Manufacturer's
Manual containing handling and preservation procedures.
6.2.2. After verifying the documentation and attesting its conformity, the packed
valve shall be sent to storage in a suitable location.
7. STORAGE
The storage location of the valves, as well as their preservation plan, shall be
inspected and approved by PETROBRAS representative.
