Please note: We can only accept nominations via our online form, and no late
nominations will be accepted.
Students should not apply until they have been nominated, and the application
deadline will not be extended.
Early applications are recommended to avoid delays in receiving module
registration or accommodation instructions.
Please note we reserve the right to shorten our fee-paying application period
should we reach capacity before the application deadline.
Semester one and full year programme:
Application period: 1 February - 1 March 2024

Applications are assessed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications


made by fee-paying students to the exchange programme will be disregarded
and will not be processed.
Students need to have undertaken a minimum of 1 year of university level study
by the time they start at King’s.
Students should have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale or its
Academic requirement equivalent. Please contact [email protected] in advance if you would like
to nominate a student who is under our GPA requirement.
We would recommend against nominating students whose major or degree
subject is not taught at Kings, as they may not be able to find relevant modules.
If students require a Student Visa, they must meet the specific English Language
requirements as specified by UK Visas and Immigration, as detailed on our
Minimum language requirement website:

Semester only students can submit a proficiency letter that confirms they meet
at least a B2 level. Admissions will provide the letter template if students do
not have submit any other English certification.

Undergraduate: 60 credits
Semester module load
Postgraduate: 60 credits
- Only modules that are listed on the Study Abroad Module Catalogue are
available to Study Abroad students (and not all modules at King's College
London are open to Study Abroad students!)
- Each King's module has a code attached to it, which begins with a number - 4, 5,
6 or 7:
o 4 is a first-year undergraduate module (introductory) - modules at this
level are generally open to everyone but some subjects, such as the
Sciences and Music require relevant and sufficient background even at
introductory level
o 5 is a second-year undergraduate module (intermediate) - modules at
Restrictions this level require students to have already taken 3-4+ modules in this
subject area at their home institution
o 6 is a final year undergraduate module (advanced) - modules at this
level require students to have already taken 6-7+ modules in this
subject area at their home institution
o Modules with codes beginning with 7 are for postgraduate students only
- Undergraduate students cannot take level 7 modules
o Postgraduate students cannot take undergraduate modules
- Students must also ensure that they meet all of the prerequisites listed on the
module catalogue in order to be eligible to take intermediate and advanced
modules.
- If students request to take modules from any of the following departments, we
will need to send their transcript to the relevant academics in that department
as only they can approve them for registration on to such classes: Biomedical
Engineering, Biosciences, Chemistry, Informatics, Mathematics, Music, Physics,
Nutrition

Housing application deadline Semester 1/FY room booking typically opens in March.
Semester 2 room booking typically opens in November.

Visa Procedures

Full year students must have a Student Visa to study on a full year programme unless they hold a
UK or Irish passport.
Visa requirements
Full year students must not travel to the UK before their Student Visa has been issued.
Semester students should check UKVI guidance in case they need to apply for a Visitor Visa in
advance (only applicable to certain nationalities).
Students requiring a Student Visa will receive a CAS via the Admissions portal once they have
Visa procedure accepted their unconditional offer. Students should view our Student Visa interactive guide for
more information.
Eligibility to work Only those holding Student Visas or a UK/Irish passport are permitted to work in the UK.
