1.1  Installation  Requirements  

Safety  Precautions  
To  avoid  equipment  damage  caused  by  improper  use  and  personal  injury,  please  observe  the  following  
precautions:  
l   Do  not  place  the  device  near  water  or  in  damp  places,  in  order  to  prevent  water  or  moisture  from  
entering  the  device.  
l   Do  not  place  the  device  in  an  unstable  place,  avoid  falling  damage  to  equipment.  
l   Make  sure  that  the  supply  voltage  of  the  device  matches  the  required  voltage  value.  
l   Do  not  open  the  equipment  chassis  without  permission.  
l   Unplug  before  cleaning  the  power  plug;;  prohibit  the  use  of  liquid  cleaning.  
Installation  Environment  Requirements  
ONU  equipment  must  be  installed  in  the  interior,  and  to  ensure  the  following  conditions:  
l   Confirmation  at  the  ONU  installation  at  sufficient  space  to  facilitate  cooling  machine.  
l   ONU  suitable  working  temperature  of  -­10℃   ~  55   ℃,  humidity  10%  to  90%.  
 
Electromagnetic  Environment  
ONU  equipment  in  use  can  be  affected  by  external  electromagnetic  interferences,  such  as  radiation  and  
conduction  through  the  impact  on  the  device,  this  should  note  the  following:  
l   Device  workplace  should  avoid  radio  transmitters,  radar  stations,  and  high-­frequency  interference  
from  power  equipment.  
l   Users  cable  typically  require  alignment  indoors  if  outdoor  lightning  traces  measures  should.  
 
Equipment  Installation  
ONU  product  is  a  fixed  configuration  cassette  equipment,  site  equipment  installation  is  relatively  simple.  
Simply  install  the  device  on  a  specified  place,  connecting  the  upstream  fiber  subscriber  line  connections,  
connect  the  power  cable.  Actual  operation  is  as  follows:  
1.Installed  on  the  desktop  
Place  the  machine  on  a  clean  bench,  this  installation  is  relatively  simple,  you  can  observe  the  following  
operation:  
l   Ensure  the  smooth  workbench.  
l   Around  the  device  enough  space  for  heat  dissipation.  
l   Do  not  place  objects  on  the  device.  
2.Mounted  on  the  wall  
l   Observation  ONU  equipment  chassis  two  cruciform  recess,  in  accordance  with  the  position  of  the  
groove,  installed  two  screws  in  the  wall.  
l   The  original  selected  two  mounting  screws  gently  snap  into  recesses  aligned.  
l   Slowly  let  go,  so  that  the  device  under  the  support  of  the  screw  hanging  on  the  wall.  
1.2  Panel  lights  on

ON   The  device  is  powered  up.

Off   The  device  is  powered  down.  
Blink   Device  does  not  receive  optical  signals.  
Optical  signal  loss   LOS  
Off   Device  has  received  optical  signal.  
ON   The  device  is  registered  to  the  EPON  system.  

Registration   PON   Off   Device  is  not  registered  to  the  EPON  system.  

Blink   Device  registration  is  incorrect.  

ON   Port  is  connected  properly  (LINK).  

LAN   ACT/LINK   Off  

Port  connection  exception  or  not  connected.  

Blink   Port  is  sending  or/and  receiving  data  (ACT).  

Off   Wifi  is  disable  

WIFI   WLAN   Blink  slowly   WIFI  is  enable  

 Blink  fastly   Date  transmitting  

2.Quick  Installation    

HZW-­‐E801-­‐W  is  divided  into  two  parts,  ONU  module  and  WIFI  module,  WIFI  module  IP  address  
192.168.1.1,   the   ONU   module   is   192.168.1.101,   in   routing   mode,   the   pc   can   only   access   WIFI  
module.    
2.1Turn  on  the  ONU  
ONUT   have   five   LEDs,   POW,   PON,   LOS,   LAN,   WLAN,   indicate   power,   registration,   optical   alarm  
status,   network   interface   connection   status,   wireless   connection   status.when   you   turn   the   onu,  
LOS  alarm  indication  red  light  blink  (represented  ONU  does  not  receive  optical).  
2.2ONU  registration  
Before  Installation,  pls  test  the  ONU  receive  optical  power    with  the  power  meter   ,the   normal  
reference  receiving  light  power  within  -­‐8dbm-­‐-­‐-­‐  -­‐26dbm/1490nm.  When  connected  to  the  optical  
fiber(optical   power   normal   range),LOS   flashing   about   6   seconds,   LOS   indication   lamp,   PON  
indicator  light(said  ONU  registration  is  normal).  
2.3  onu  routing  parameters  setting  
2.31     Into  routing  interface  
By  default,  optical  modem  LAN  port  open  the  DHCP,IP  address  allocation  range  192.168.1.100  to  
192.168.1.200,   before   the   Web   interface   of   computer   access   router,   the   IP   address   of   the  
computer   set   to   automatically   obtain   or   fixed   192.168.1.XX   segment   of   the   IP,   browser   input  
routing  IP  address  192.168.1.1,access  the  web  interface  as  follows.

Set  wireless  SSID  number,  wireless  password  and  encryption  
  
In   order   to   better   meet   the   wireless   connection   compatibility,   it   is   recommended   to   mixed   mode  
encryption,  also  check  TKIP,  and  AES

ONU   system   settings   include   firmware   upgrade,   modify   the   login   user   name   and   password,  
restore  factory  settings,  the  device  reboots,  etc.

3.Onu  web  management  

ONU   provides   simple   Web   management   functions,   including   Device   Informations   ,   modifying   Lan  
Managemenet   IP   address,   SN(Serial   Number),Loid,   Password,   Configuration   File  
Backup/Upload/Restore,firmware  upgrades  and  other  functions.      
3.1  How  to  enter  ONU  WEB  management  interface  
By  default,  WIFI  module  for  routing  mode,  unable  to  enter  the  WEB  management  platform，if  you  
need   to   enter   the   onu   web   management   interface,need   to   set   the   Operating   Mode   is   bridge

 
the  onu  ip  address  is  192.168.1.101/24,so  the  pc  ip  address  set  192.168.1.xx/24

CTC  Configuration  Parameters  Info  :Menu  displays  the  current  device  base

Loid  config  and  optical  parameter  ,from  the  menu,you  can  config  the  port  up/down  state,speed  
mode  and  pause.the  onu  ip,mac  address,loid,and  you  can  show  the  onu  optical  parameter.

Management  Info  :Menu  displays  the  update  firmware,reset  onu  meau,  from  the  menu,you  can  
update  the  onu  firmware  ,and  reset  onu  or  Reset to factory default settings  .

usename  and  password,or  change  the  usename  and  passord.
