Dedication
To my beloved family, supportive friends, and
esteemed instructors,
My name is Krissy, and I am 21 years old. I consider myself a normal girl living a
normal life. I find joy and solace in the simple things that surround me, such as
cats and nature.
Cats have always held a special place in my heart. Their independent yet
affectionate nature fascinates me. I love spending time with them, observing their
playful antics and feeling their soft fur against my skin. Cats have taught me the
importance of both independence and companionship.
I also have various interests and hobbies. I enjoy reading books, as they transport
me to different worlds and allow me to gain new perspectives. Writing is another
passion of mine, as it enables me to express my thoughts and emotions in a
creative and meaningful way. I find solace in putting pen to paper and allowing
my imagination to run wild.
As a normal girl, I have my fair share of ups and downs. Life is a journey filled
with challenges and triumphs, and I embrace both with an open heart. I believe
that every experience, whether positive or negative, shapes us into the person we
are meant to be.
I strive to live a life filled with love, kindness, and gratitude. I cherish the simple
joys and find beauty in the ordinary. Family are my constant companions,
reminding me of the importance of connection, both with ourselves and the
world around us.
Folk Tale
Fairy Tale
Title: Thumbelina
"Thumbelina" is a classic fairy tale written by Hans Christian
Andersen. It tells the story of a tiny girl named Thumbelina
who is no bigger than a thumb. She is born from a magical
flower and lives a peaceful life until she is whisked away by
various creatures and faces numerous trials.
Thumbelina encounters a series of adventures, including being
kidnapped by a toad, narrowly escaping a marriage proposal
from a mole, and enduring the harsh winter with the help of
a swallow. Throughout her journey, Thumbelina remains kind-
hearted and hopeful, befriending creatures big and small.
Eventually, Thumbelina finds herself rescued by a fairy prince
who falls in love with her delicate beauty. He whisks her
away to the Land of the Flower Fairies, where Thumbelina
finds her true home among creatures like herself.
In the end, Thumbelina marries the prince and lives happily
ever after, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love
of her newfound family. Andersen's tale celebrates the
resilience of the human spirit and the power of kindness in
overcoming life's challenges.
Myth
Title: "Adonis"
Adonis was young, gentle, and very beautiful. All things loved him. Flowers
sprang up under his feet, and bees and butterflies fluttered around him.
When he went out hunting in the forest with his hounds, Venus, the goddess
of beauty, used to follow him at a distance, keeping within the shadows. She
trembled lest some accident should befall him, for she knew that the forest
was full of wolves, panthers, and other beasts even more dangerous.
A few hours later Venus found Adonis, wounded and dying, with the bright
blood falling in drops from his side. She bent over him, her tears falling with
the drops of blood. As Venus's tears touched the ground, they were changed
to wind-flowers, while every drop of blood that fell from the wound of
Adonis became a red rose.
When bright Adonis went down to the dark Underworld, all things on earth
mourned for him. The flowers faded in the fields, the trees cast down their
leaves, the dolphins wept near the shore, and the nightingales sang the
saddest songs they knew. The Muses cried, "Woe, woe for Adonis! He hath
perished, the lovely Adonis!" And Echo, from the dark forests where the
youth had so often hunted, answered, "He hath perished, the lovely Adonis!"
Mars, the cruel war-god, hated all gentle and beautiful things, and he hated
Adonis worst of all. One day he sent an ugly wild boar, with his great sharp
tusks, to attack the boy.
Epic
Title: The Adventures of Odysseus
The epic follows the journey of Odysseus, a brave Greek hero, as he
tries to return home after the Trojan War. Along the way, he
encounters mythical creatures, battles dangerous foes, and faces various
challenges.
For example, Odysseus and his crew come across the Cyclops, a giant
one-eyed monster. They have to outsmart the Cyclops to escape its
clutches and continue their journey.
Once upon a time, there was a tortoise and a hare who decided to have a race.
The hare was very fast, while the tortoise was slow but determined.
When the race started, the hare quickly sprinted ahead, confident in his speed.
The tortoise, with his slow and steady pace, kept moving forward, never giving up.
As the hare was far ahead, he thought he had plenty of time to rest and take a
nap. He fell asleep under a tree, unaware that the tortoise was still making
progress.
While the hare slept, the tortoise kept plodding along, step by step. He didn't get
discouraged by the hare's lead or by his own slow speed. He just focused on
reaching the finish line.
When the hare woke up, he saw that the tortoise was near the end of the race.
He rushed to catch up, but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first,
surprising everyone.
The moral of this fable is that slow and steady wins the race. The tortoise's
perseverance paid off, while the hare's overconfidence led to his downfall.
So remember, like the tortoise, keep moving forward and never give up, because in
the end, your determination will lead you to success.
Tall Tale
Title: Paul Bunyan
In the land of tall tales, there lived a legendary lumberjack named Paul Bunyan. He was known
for his extraordinary size and incredible strength.
According to the stories, Paul Bunyan was so big that when he was born, it took five giant storks
to carry him to his parents! As he grew older, he could clear entire forests with a single swing of
his mighty axe.
One day, Paul Bunyan decided to have some fun with his trusted companion, a blue ox named
Babe. Together, they traveled across the country, leaving behind a trail of amazing feats.
They created the Great Lakes by digging giant footprints and filling them with water. They made
the Mississippi River by dragging Babe's massive tail through the land, carving out a path for the
water to flow.
Paul Bunyan's appetite was as legendary as his size. He could eat stacks of pancakes as tall as a
house and drink rivers of coffee to start his day. He even had a griddle so big that it took a
whole lumber camp to flip the pancakes!
As he worked, Paul Bunyan's laughter echoed through the forests, causing avalanches and shaking
the ground. He was a mighty force of nature, yet he had a kind heart and always helped those in
need.
The tales of Paul Bunyan's feats grew with each retelling, making him a symbol of strength,
perseverance, and the indomitable spirit of the American frontier.
While some say these stories are just legends, they continue to inspire us to dream big and
believe in our own abilities. Paul Bunyan reminds us that with determination and a touch of
imagination, even the mightiest of tasks can be accomplished.
So, whenever you see a towering forest or hear the rumble of thunder, remember the tall tale of
Paul Bunyan, the larger-than-life lumberjack who became a beloved figure in American folklore.

Lily's life took an unexpected turn when she discovered a hidden talent for capturing
the essence of people in her artwork. Her paintings seemed to reveal the true nature
and emotions of those she depicted, creating a profound connection between the
subjects and the viewers.
Word of Lily's extraordinary gift spread like wildfire, attracting people from all walks
of life. They sought her out, hoping to have their own stories immortalized on canvas.
Each painting became a window into the soul, revealing the hidden depths and untold
stories of the individuals.
As Lily delved deeper into her art, she realized that her paintings held a power beyond
what she could have ever imagined. The connections formed through her artwork
transcended physical boundaries, allowing people to understand and empathize with
one another on a profound level.
Inspired by the impact of her paintings, Lily decided to use her gift to bring people
together. She organized a public exhibition where she displayed her collection of
portraits, each one telling a unique story of love, loss, and resilience.
The exhibition became a transformative experience for those who attended. Strangers
found themselves drawn to one another, sharing their own stories and forming
connections that had previously seemed impossible. Lily's art had become a catalyst for
empathy, healing, and understanding in a world that often felt disconnected.
"The Unseen Connection" by Emily Anderson is a modern story that explores the
power of art to bridge the gaps between individuals and create a sense of unity in a
fast-paced and fragmented world. It reminds us of the profound impact we can have on
