 24 VDC circuit overload Starter protection solution

Protection of circuits supplied in DC low voltage has

traditionally been by fuses or standard electromechanical
circuit-breakers. In certain cases (notably short-circuits) this
protection is not sufficiently selective, and electronic protection
of the power supply suspends low voltage supply before
downstream protections can react.

The Phaseo solution is a 4-starter electronic protection

module, dedicated to ABL 8R/W Universal power supplies.

Each of these starters is adjustable from 1 to 10 A.

Availability Redundancy solution

On certain equipment, the consequences of a 24 V control

voltage breakdown can be extremely detrimental and can
justify paralleling 2 or more power supplies to maintain
faultless operating continuity.
Redundancy module
The Phaseo solution consists of coupling 2 universal
power supplies with an electronic redundancy module.

The primaries of these power supplies can be on the

same or on different networks.

supplies are primarily appreciated for their
highly compact size.

Highly compact size

■ Only 27 mm width for the optimum 3 A model and 36 mm width

for the modular 0.6 A model.

Simple to install, simple to use

■ All models have wide input voltage range 100-240 V 50/60 Hz

without voltage selector switch

■ Modular models can be mounted on Omega rail or screw fixed without

need of additional parts

■ Output wiring can be oriented from the equipment upwards or downwards

via the ducting provided on modular power supplies (up to 30 W).

An extended offer Range from 0.3 to 5 A
■ In case of output overload, integrated protection interrupts supply of current
■ Output voltage: 5 V / 12 V / 24 V / 48 V
before voltage falls below 19 V, so avoiding any undefined logic state on API inputs
■ AS-Interface 24 VDC mixed power supply.
■ Earth fault management on the AS-Interface offer.
