A. Part 1
1. What is Humanities?
- Humanities include the study of history, philosophy and religion, modern and ancient
languages, and literature, fine and performing arts, media, cultural studies, and other
fields. And to simply put it all, humanities is what help us to understand and to
interpret human experience, as well the societies where we belong. Humanities is
somewhat helps us also in understanding the art of the individual which helps us to
know what an artist wants to express.
2. What is Art?
- Art is the artist’s thoughts, expressions, emotions, their culture, and belief in form of
making a significant piece of work or medium. Art is the language of an individual to
express unsaid feelings and thoughts. We can also say that art is the freedom of speech,
but in artistic way, which consist also of artist’s imagination, and senses in the
surroundings.
B. Part 2
1. Art is universal.
- Art is universal because it is everywhere. Arts is not only in canvas, sketches and
paintings, art is also in our surrounding, like nature, where we see a majestic creature
or species, where we see a plant, common or rare, but it pleasing to our eyes. We also
see art in our spaces, like our solar system, how the sunrise and sunset capture our
eyes, stars are mesmerizing at night, moon that our light in night, clouds, and other
heavenly bodies and phenomena. Art is us; our body is art, we confidently raise
ourselves in crowd, and make our life lovely like an art museum.
2. Art is Cultural.
- We see different arts in different cultures, where we see unusual ones, a creative one,
a weird yet pleasing to the eyes one and a colorful one. This is to represent their
identity proudly, their cultures and beliefs, their act, and other traits that a society
where belong has.
