Course Description:
This course aim is to give students insight about design, engineering, and
operation aspects of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems

1. Identify various components of refrigeration and air- PLO1 C1
conditioning systems by resuming basic knowledge

2. Apply fundamental concepts related to design and selection PLO2 C3


of various components (Evaporator, condensers etc.) of
refrigeration and HVAC systems.
3. Analyze factors affecting thermal comfort in AC zones and air PLO2 C4
treatment/handling requirements for public buildings

4. Calculate the heating and cooling load for various PLO3 C3


structures/buildings
