My research on the poem, “A Rizal”:

This poem was written by Cecilio Apostol, a renowned Filipino poet. He paid

Rizal”, Apostol captures the essence of Rizal’s enduring influence and significance in
Filipino history and culture. The poem describes Rizal as an immortal hero, a symbol of

the hearts and minds of us, Filipinos. The poem beautifully portrays Rizal’s heroism,

Rizal is depicted as a beacon of inspiration, a protector of a nation yearning for freedom,
and a timeless symbol of courage and patriotism. “A Rizal” stands as a powerful
testament to enduring respect and gratitude us Filipinos hold for our national hero, Dr.
Jose Rizal.
My opinions on the poem, “A Rizal”:
In my opinion this poem is very interesting and amazing. The author,
Cecilio Apostol really captured the essence of Rizal’s legacy and impact on Filipino society.
The poem reveres Rizal as an important figure in Filipino culture and history. The poem really
inspired and taught me more things about our national hero, and I really enjoyed reading the
poem. In my own opinion, the poem about Rizal are intended to examine the Filipinos,
especially young people to develop intelligence and intensify their love of the country so that
the spirit of Filipino patriotism exists in everyone and most importantly tell everyone the
sacrifices and influence of Dr. Jose Rizal in our country, the Philippines. The poem also talked
about the contributions of Rizal to the nation’s quest for freedom and independence, Rizal
was really an important factor in the independence of our nation.
In the poem "A Rizal" by Cecilio Apostol, readers can learn about
various aspects related to Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines. The poem delves
into themes such as Rizal's impact on society, his ideals, and his role in inspiring courage and
a sense of patriotism. Apostol's work portrays Rizal as a figure who instilled bravery in heroes

to readers. It inspired me a sense of national pride and admiration for our national hero, Jose

With the use of poetic devices, Apostol enriches the language of “A Rizal, intensifying the
emotional resonance and the message of the poem itself. This particular poem really taught
me a lot of things, including Dr. Jose Rizal’s influence in our history, and the love and sacrifice
of our heroes most especially Jose Rizal who died for us. And those are my opinions and
knowledge I gathered from the poem I read.
