LUCY: I bought clothes online a few times in the past, but it was usually a
bad experience. Sometimes the clothes didn’t fit. Sometimes the colour
was different from in the picture and I didn’t like it, or the style didn’t look
good on me. Then I had to return the clothes, and that wasn’t convenient.

LUCY: So these days I always buy clothes in town, but not at the mall.
KEVIN: I never buy clothes online. To me, it seems silly to buy something
when you can’t try it on, or touch it, or see the quality. My friend saw an
advert for a suit online and bought it to wear at a wedding. He thought
he was going to get a bargain. But when it arrived, it was terrible quality.
He had to buy another suit, and he had to pay to return the other one.
What a waste of time and money!

LUCY: But there’s a great market near the river. The clothes are really
colourful there, and they’re cheap too.
KEVIN: I buy all my clothes at the mall. There are a lot of clothes shops,
but only a few of them sell good quality clothes. I buy my clothes in those
shops. I pay a lot for them. They last a long time and they look smart. I
don’t like shopping so I don’t mind spending more money. Then I don’t
have to go shopping often.

There aren’t many good clothes shops there now. But there’s a great
market near the river.
KEVIN: I don’t shop at the market. The clothes there are poor quality, and
the colours are really bright. I think they look cheap. I prefer to look
smart.

problem is, there aren’t any fitting rooms. I have to find a dark corner of
