    Letter to my teacher

    Dear,
    Mrs. Tilley
    To begin with, I’m born in Australia but have a Sri Lankan background most of my family is
    over their thought, I do have close friends which I cherish. I speak English as my first
    language and Sinhalese as my second but I’m not fluent in it.
    My most beloved hobby is most definitely drawing. Despite the fact I don’t do it as often as I
    used to. However, whenever I have time for it, I lose track of time trying to perfect the
    drawing or even color it in.
    Outside of school I do ballet which I’ve been continuing for the past few years. It has been
    my strongest passion since I was young.
    A favorite film of mine is despicable me. I really enjoyed watching it as a child I thought all
    the movies were creatively made and enticing. A book I absolutely loved was Artic Star
    which I had read a few months ago. I picked it at the school library due to its mesmerizing
    cover. The book was about three friends working onboard of a war ship they were fighting
    for Britin against Russia. The book incorporated moments of Bravery, unity and forgiveness.
    The book was based on a true event. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the book but at the very
    end it showed live pictures of the individuals on that ship.
    My best loved actor is Leonardo DiCaprio, cliché I know but I really do love his acting he
    always seems to play the role incredibly well, no matter what is thrown at him. My favourite
    as of recently is Modern Family. It has eleven seasons and so far, I just finished the first
    season. What I like about it is that the episodes are short and relatable, and each episode
    reveals a message that could be learnt from.
    An academic strength that I excel in is problem solving and listening. I love math’s because it
    strongly incorporates those strengths. A skill I would like to improve on is leadership, to have
    and opportunity to take responsibility and guide peers. I would like to gain more knowledge
    in my vocabulary and really use better words when writing.
    Some things to know about my learning capabilities is that Most of the time I like to work
    independently but I also like to be in groups when discussing. A habit that has when learning
    is that I usually like to listen to music whilst doing my work. Most of the time I handle
    challenges in a calmly manner and push forward. I feel most confident and strong in creative
    writing or discussing political topics.
    A dream of mine is that I aspire to be a doctor in the future.
