What does MM33 mean?

MM33 is the name of the initiative that describes the collaborative evangelism and
church planting efforts of the World Assemblies of God until the year 2033 and
beyond. MM is 2,000 written in Roman numerals. 2033 is a significant year in that it
marks the 2000th anniversary of Jesus’ resurrection and the Day of Pentecost.
Matthew 28:19 calls the Church to expand the Kingdom: “Therefore go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit.” This is His mandate and our mission. The World Assemblies of God
Fellowship is collaborating in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting efforts in
the MM33 initiative. We offer ourselves without reservation as the Spirit-empowered
people of God to make known the name of Jesus and His offer of salvation and
eternal life to every man, woman, boy, and girl on planet Earth. By the historic day
that marks the 2000th anniversary of Jesus’ resurrection and the Day of Pentecost,
we’re relying on direction from the Lord to guide us to foster revival and grow to one
million churches.
Why is MM33 relevant today?

Many people have yet to hear the Good News! The world is crying out for a source of
true hope, and Jesus is the answer! We’ve been given the Great Commission to take
the Gospel to the whole world, and there is much work to be done. MM33 is a
covenant of brothers and sisters in Christ in a collective pursuit of building the
Kingdom by fostering revival and expanding to one million churches. The pace of
church planting and evangelism needs to exponentially grow if we are to reach this
goal in 2033.
The Lord has equipped us for such a time as this. We are now, more than ever, a
globally connected Movement of God spanning more than 140 countries. As our
resources, churches, and members around the world have grown, so should our faith.
MM33 represents the effort to engage in the greatest work of evangelism,
discipleship, and church planting the world has ever seen – to make known the
name of Jesus and His offer of salvation and eternal life to every person on planet
Earth.
Together, we can impact the globe as we share the Gospel and usher in global
revitalization and revival!
History
Beginnings
Since it was founded, the World Assemblies of God Fellowship has always
participated in world evangelism. An unprecedented period of growth happened
during the Decade of Harvest from 1990-2000, and by God’s grace, has since
continued to expand with approximately 370,0000 churches and almost 70 million
adherents.
Prophetic Word
A prophetic exhortation shared at the 2017 World Assemblies of God Congress asked
the Lord of the Harvest to help us so that if He tarries His return until 2033, the World
Assemblies of God Fellowship would consist of one million churches!
Where we’re going

Now, more than ever, we are globally connected with more than 160 national
councils from over 140 countries! We have more people and more resources than
we’ve ever had in our history. This has ignited the efforts of our evangelism, and with
full reliance on the Holy Spirit, we believe we can expand the footprint of the Church
around the world.

requires that we commit ourselves in unity as a global fellowship to one
common mission - the Great Commission through MM33, by the power
and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
What does it mean for individuals?

What a joy and privilege it is to be part of a revival! This movement is about every
believer experiencing personal revival, growing in discipleship, and hungering for
more of the Holy Spirit. The Church is made up of individuals, and we all have
received His mandate to share about Jesus in our spheres of influence.

What does it mean for churches and nations?

Imagine your congregation and communities transformed by the power of the Holy
Spirit. When a revival occurs, there will be a heightened spiritual awareness and
atmosphere accompanied by signs and wonders. As we collectively pursue
engaging in the MM33 initiative, the collaboration between churches will generate
the momentum of this movement and bring about global expansion of the Church.
Every church has a part to play in carrying His mandate and making it their mission.
