How to Fail an Examination

It is easier to fail an examination than to pass it. Firstly, take it easy, and keep
thinking that there is plenty of time to prepare for the examination. Next, think that
there is no point in going to the class since the teacher is only going to introduce
the students to the subject. After the classes progress, remember that sleep is too
sweet to ignore, so keep on sleeping because there is another class test next week.

go to the book store when there is no book left in the book store. Then think that
oh, well, no need to worry; there is plenty of time to study. On the night before the
examination, stay up late and party with your friends. During the examination, do
what you can and then take a nap. Finally, when the results are announced, it is
sure for you to get a grade of ‘F’ and you can put the blame on the teacher and
claim that he has given the failing grade because of personal hatred. So, isn’t it
easy to fail an examination by following the above advice?

dinner which we ate immediately. After I had cleaned up the kitchen, we watched
TV for about an hour. Then we got ready to go out with some friends. Our friends
arrived at about 9 o'clock and we chatted for a while. Later we decided to visit a

We finally left at one o'clock in the morning.

My Department Store Nightmare

I will never forget the first time I got lost in New York City. I was travelling with
my parents during summer vacation. When we were in an incredibly large
department store, I was so excited to see such a huge place. Suddenly, I turned
around to ask my mom something, but she was not there. Then, I began crying and
screaming at the top of my voice. A salesclerk came to me and asked if I was OK.
At once she got on the public address system and notified the customers that a little
boy with blue jeans and a red cap was lost. Two minutes later, my mom and dad
came running to me. We all cried and hugged each other. This story took place
over twenty years ago. Every time I see a department store, I am reminded of that
terrible incident.

Why smoking should be banned in public places

Smoking in public places should be banned for three main reasons. Firstly,
smoking destroys everyone in public places. Not only does smoking cigarette
affect the smokers’ health, but it also causes health problems to other people who
do not smoke when they stay near the smokers. With over 4,000 chemical products
in only one cigarette, the lives of those whose health is affected by the smoke are
taken away 5 minutes after smoking a cigarette. Furthermore, more people,
including smokers and those affected by smoke have died with the increasing
percentage of death annually. Secondly, smoking is a main cause to environmental
pollution. Because of a number of chemicals in each cigarette, the smoke from the
number of cigarettes is very dangerous for the environment as a whole. As a result,
air pollution, land pollution, and water pollution are the consequences of
environmental pollution caused by smoking cigarettes. Last but not least, smoking
costs doubling amount of money. Smokers spend a lot of money in every single
minute they smoke, and they absorb a lot of chemical substances into their body.
Therefore, those smokers have to spend a lot of money for health treatment when
the disease caused by smoking reaches a serious situation. In short, based on
people’s life destruction, environmental pollution, and money waste, smoking is so
harmful that we should ban it from happening in everywhere especially in public
places.

7. Cause and Effect:

Why cities are growing faster

In recent decades, cities have grown so large that now about 50% of the Earth's
population lives in urban areas. There are several reasons for this occurrence. First,
the increasing industrialization of the nineteenth century resulted in the creation of
many factory jobs, which tended to be located in cities. These jobs, with their
promise of a better material life, attracted many people from rural areas. Second,
there were many schools established to educate the children of the new factory
laborers. The promise of a better education persuaded many families to leave
farming communities and move to the cities. Finally, as the cities grew, people
established places of leisure, entertainment, and culture, such as sports stadiums,
theaters, and museums. For many people, these facilities made city life appear
more interesting than life on the farm, and therefore drew them away from rural
communities.
