If you can really be with Kailash even for a few moments,

life will never again be the same for you. It is a phenomenon

beyond all human imagination.
-Sadhguru

From ancient times, streams of pilgrims have made their way to Kailash, leaving the
comforts of home behind and walking with a fire in their heart. Sadhguru explains, if
you are a pilgrim, you are using this outward journey to make an inward journey.

Kailash-Manasarovar is one of the most significant of all pilgrimages and is considered

by many as the highest point of their life’s experience. Known as the spiritual center of
the Universe by five religions - Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Bon, the
sacred Mount Kailash and ethereal Lake Manasarovar are the subjects of innumerable
myths and legends.

Manasarovar lies at a height of 15,015 ft. and situated 20 km away from Kailash and is
believed to house the Kalpavriksha, the wish-fulfilling Divine Tree. This lake is
considered to be the source of all Creation.

Join us on this ultimate journey to experience the immensity of mount Kailash and
lake Manasarovar in the spiritual land of Tibet.
This well-rounded sojourn is sure to be a spiritual adventure of a different kind.
Travelling across beautiful Tibet to reach Kailash and Manasarovar will allow you to

Guided and enveloped by intense meditation processes, satsangs and chants, Sacred
Walks is not just a journey; it is an intense expression of man’s search for ultimate
freedom.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu
Get your first glimpse of vibrant Kathmandu as you are
transferred to your hotel.
Nepal has witnessed a phenomenal amount of mystical
work, which has made the whole country into a sacred
body. Just being in this space is a powerful spiritual
experience.
Now is the time to start winding down from the hustle and
bustle of our busy daily lives and look forward to the
journey ahead.

Day 2: Kathmandu
Devote the day to a guided tour of this 2000-year-old city
starting with a visit to the exquisite Pashupatinath Temple
complex. Although entry to the main temple is only
permitted for Hindus, there is much to see for all visitors in
the outer temple complex. Everyone is free to explore the
numerous smaller temples, shrines, and the temple’s
cremation ghat.
Another gem on our itinerary is Patan, the ancient city of
fine arts. Be transported back in time as you visit the grand
square and age-old temples in this “City of Beauty”.

Day 3: Drive to Timure

Enjoy the sight of small hamlets and villages nestled in the
lush greenery of the Himalayas as we drive to Timure, the
Nepal-Tibet border town.

Day 4: Drive to Kerung

We complete the immigration at Nepal as well as Tibet side
before driving further to Kerung, also known as the “Valley
of Happiness”. It is believed to be the place where the
renowned Tibetan Master, Milarepa, was born and raised.
Day 5 & 6: Saga
Feast your eyes on the enchanting beauty of Tibet, the awe
inspiring landscape and the changing hues and colours of
the surrounding mountains as we drive down to the city of
Saga. Also known as “Happy Land”, Saga is situated along
the banks of the sacred river Brahmaputra.
We will stay here for an additional night to acclimatize to
the high altitude before continuing the journey to Lake
Manasarovar. This bustling city is also the last stop to shop
for any last minute supplies.

Day 7: Manasarovar
Prepare yourself for incredible vistas of sand dunes,
snow-capped mountains and large lakes as you travel to
Lake Manasarovar. Your first view of this freshwater lake
will be truly breathtaking. Being the highest source of
freshwater in the world, this blue and emerald green lake
seems otherworldly. Stay overnight near the lake and drink
in the peace that surrounds this space.

Day 8: Manasarovar & Darchen

Today will be a mystical day of meditation and invocation.
Experience a refreshing shower from the waters of this
lake, which is known to be an epitome of purity and said to
have healing properties as well as the power to wash off all
mortal sins. After lunch, drive to Darchen, a quaint little
town at the base of Mount Kailash for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Kailash
Get ready for a trail that is as challenging as it is rewarding.
Pack up and drive to the starting point of the trek,
Yamadwar, and begin the trek to Dirapuk. En route, behold
the sights of cliff-top monasteries, yak caravans leisurely
ambling over snowy passes, and the West face of Kailash.
As you get closer, experience the powerful and
indescribable phenomenon of this revered mountain.
While staying the night at its base, indulge in the beauty
and immensity of the esoteric Kailash.
Day 10: Kailash
Today, we meditate in the mighty presence of the North
face of Kailash. It is time to allow the essence of Kailash to
take root in you. Staying another night at Dirapuk in the
company of this enchanted peak will allow you to fully
imbibe and take in the experience.
