media and telecommunications company based in London, England. The company was formed in June 2021 as a 50:50
joint venture between Liberty Global and Telefónica through the merger of their respective Virgin Media and O2

It is one of the largest entertainment and telecommunications operators in the United Kingdom, with around 60 million
customers in 2023.
 CPS handles credit and debit card transactions, builds on the on-line 3-D authentication services (verify by Visa),
by ensuring that it’s PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance.

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division is not just a market leader in cash management, trade finance and securities
services, it is also at the forefront in the provision of strategic thinking and the creation of global solutions.

Instant payments can be defined as payments from one bank account to another that are completed and confirmed for
both the payer and the payee within less than one minute, they operate 24*7*365 and when successful are final and
irrevocable.

The GTB-IPP project handles the processing of instant payments over regions like APAC and EMEA. There are majorly
two applications which separately handles the IPP flow for EMEA and APAC.

 B@FIR-SEPA-RTE:- This application is responsible to process EMEA instant payments. The Sepa Instant
Credit Transfer scheme sets the standard that digital payments must be executed in 10 seconds or less.
 Galileo:- This application is dedicated for APAC instant payment (India – UPI transactions, Sri Lanka)

There are multiple components which are internal part of above two applications which is also share of our project to
support and ensure the payments should process within defined SLA and successfully like RTE, DB-SIS, HRS,
HOTSCAN, DBDETECT. RTE (Real time Engine) is a new product of Deutsche Bank Processing Instant payments.
To process Instant payments in real time large number of interfaces have changed from batch-based processing to
message based Real time processing. All other various applications perform various checks for completing a transaction
Like filtering check, Fraud, Embargo, fund Check, Account validation check etc.
