Our subject lesson by Ma’am Marilyn, I chose it as my
artifact because it makes it easier for me to research the
eight major world faiths. Because Christianity is founded on
the teachings of Jesus Christ, it places a strong emphasis
on salvation and faith. Islam was founded by Muhammad and
is predicated on the five pillars of the Quran. Reincarnation
and karma are just two of the many concepts found in
Hinduism. Buddhism has placed a great focus on
enlightenment and the Eightfold Path since Siddhartha
Gautama. Because Judaism is based on the covenant with
God, it places a strong emphasis on morality and
monotheism. In Sikhism, equality and meditation are highly
regarded. Taoism places a great importance on harmony
with the Tao and the natural order. Confucianism places a
strong emphasis on moral values and community harmony.
Understanding these religions illuminates the numerous
ways that people seek meaning and purpose in their lives,
and this leads to the shaping of cultures and societies
worldwide.

I see myself with my own family, leading a happy and satisfying life in
ten years. I imagine a house full of coziness, love, and laughter, where
the happiness of shared experiences and dreams resounds around
every corner.
I also place a high priority on my own and my loved ones' health and
wellbeing in my future vision. I imagine us doing things that feed our
bodies, brains, and souls—whether it's going on adventures in the
great outdoors, practicing mindfulness, or just hanging out for quality
time.
My ultimate goals for the ensuing ten years are contentment, balance,
and purpose. It's a vision where every day is an opportunity to live
truly, love passionately, and change the world, all driven by the values
of compassion, integrity, and resilience.
