Nepal Bank Limited, The first bank of Nepal


was established in November 15, 1937 A.D
(Kartik, 30, 1994). It was formed under the
principle of Joint venture (Joint venture
between govt. & general public).
Nepal Bank Limited is providing
services to its customers from its 217
branches. It provides deposit facility, various
loan facilities, advanced ABBS services from
162 branches, Internet Banking along with the
ATM facilities through 144 ATM terminals all
over the country.

the individual customers. This product is one

Bank Ltd. has been catering to the various and
gigantic financial needs of the individuals,
business houses, projects, farmers,
entrepreneurs etc. In every front, we strongly
believe to have lived up to and indeed,
exceeded the clients' expectations.

Objective of Nepal bank limited

To provide the service to the people whether


they are rich or poor and to contribute to the
nation's development was and has always
been the main objective of the bank. It was
established during the time when very few
people understood and had confidence in the
new concept of formal banking which made
raising equity shares and mobilization of
deposits difficult which is why the bank that
floated equity shares worth Rs 2,500,000
could only raise Rs 842,000.
The corporate vision of the bank is 'pioneer
bank with complete banking solution' and it
has considered NEW as its mission statement.

operation, and trustworthy in
ensuring security to protect its own and
customers' interests.
Absence of any bank in Nepal was hampering
the economic progress of the country. This
was taken into consideration by Nepal Bank
Limited with key focus on overcoming such
economic hamper and difficulties of general
public

market competition and global financial
