Grow Model and Kirkpatrick Modelfor active and effective Training and
Mentoring Sessions:

The GROW coaching model is a tried and tested coaching model to structure
coaching sessions.

The highlight of the GROW coaching model is that it leads to a clearly defined
end result through four phases–Goal, Reality, Obstacles and Way Forward. The
coachee takes the initiative in identifying problems and generating ideas for
solutions.

The GROW coaching model stands for learning through experience: reflection,
insight, making choices and pursuing them.

An example of grow model is illustrated as below:

Benefits:

Ensures focus
Enables continuous
interaction
Problem Solving
Learning effectiveness
Reflection on learning
Flexible
Monitoring and
evaluation effectiveness

Confidential | ©Infopace Management Pvt. Ltd, All rights reserved Page 18

KIRKPATRICK MODEL:

The Kirkpatrick Model is a four-level model, which enables the instructor

to understand the participants’ take on the training programat different levels,
providing a comprehensive picture of the impact of the programs.

The four levels explained:

 Reaction: What did participants think of the training program?

 Learning: Did participants obtain new knowledge or beliefs as a result of
the training program?
 Behavior: Did the participants start, stop or continue behavior as a result
of the new knowledge?
 Results: Did the change of behavior result in positive outcomes?

The Kirkpatrick Model allows the instructor to measure participant behaviors,

learning, and reactions earlier, which gives him/her time to adjust their training
sessions. This enhances the effectiveness of the Training Programs.

World-class Makers Space:

Makerspaces, also known as hackerspaces or fabrication (fab) labs, facilitates

collaborative consumption and co-working. They are the intersection of tech and
making, defined not just by their physical space, but also by entrepreneurs’
ability to build products, share knowledge, and combine resources. The idea with
a makerspace is to have access to digital fabrication tools in order to take a
concept into prototype.

Applications of Makers Space:

Benefits:

 Pooled resources,
ideas and talents
 Access to high-end
Tools
 Innovation in
Technology through
shared knowledge
 Problem Solving
 Access to digital
fabrication
 Prototype creation

Hackathons to solve local problems across the districts:

Confidential | ©Infopace Management Pvt. Ltd, All rights reserved Page 20

Hackathons are conducted at CoEI where we invite the community and students
to solve challenges in the local region. The selected ideas are invited for
brainstorming sessions and the prototypes developed in the labs. Developed
products are tested in the community for validation and feedback. As a couple
of industries are slowing and shutting down, existing infrastructure from these
factories will be matched up with new innovative ideas developed in the region
to check for feasibility. These new factories will also get the workforce from
graduates in Global competence program and from the colleges.

“Hackathons are proving grounds

for new ideas. They’re especially
good tools to stimulate the
creative and problem-solving
juices of developers. Unlike their
day jobs where risk-taking may be
frowned upon, in a hackathon there
is a low cost of failure.”
Benefits:

 Innovative solutions with design thinking and creative problem solving

which builds a creative confidence in the community with an insatiable
appetite for solution driven proto-typing for problem statements of the
society.
 Community co-creation which brings about deep engagement.
 Developer Engagement – Build a bridge between those who develop
technology and those who uses technology
 Local economy branding – Branding with hackathon helps to change public
perception
 Spotting talents – Hackathons as platform for identifying and recruiting
talents.

Vertical Industry specific cluster creation:

A business cluster is a geographic concentration of interconnected businesses,

suppliers, and associated institutions in a particular field. Clusters are considered
to increase the productivity with which companies can compete, nationally and
global. In urban studies, the term agglomeration is used. Clusters are also very
important aspects of strategic management.

For the development of Gulbarga, Vertical industry specific cluster

creation is recommended for the following industries:

 Health care
 Electronics and component – based electronic goods
 Renewable energy
 Agriculture
 Food Processing

Skill development creating Entrepreneurship:

 Skill Development in emerging service sector industries can create

startups in:
 ITES
o IOT
o Big Data
o Artificial Intelligence
o AR/VR
o Developing solutions on ubiquitous computing

 Bio Technology
 Agricultural Skills etc.

Digitalization on Healthcare to enhance the reach of services,
productivity and cost efficiency:

Digital transformation enables the continual build-out and extension of services

and data, while coordinating services across the care continuum to support
population health. Population health strategies are the ways in which companies
achieve positive health outcomes for a group of individuals, including the
distribution of these outcomes within the group. Digitization has the potential to
affect every aspect of care delivery and operations, enabling smarter choices
and better utilization of time and resources and allowing people to spend more
time on patient interaction at the point of care.

“Digitalization in healthcare
enables the reach of
healthcare services to people
in Hyderabad-Karnataka
region where connectivity is
considerably low”.

SOLAR ENERGY in Agriculture:

There is a huge scope to reinvent methods of Solar Energy by introducing solar

pipes, solar dryers, solar green house, machinery, hydroponics, fencing etc.
Below picture shows Hydroponics implementation:

Role of Key Stakeholders:

Government:

• To promote awareness of the opportunities created in the region

among the public
• Providing the Necessary Infrastructure required for creation and
maintenance of Incubation Facility, CoEI, Global Excellence Programs,
etc.
• To certify the Accredited mentors and Accelerator programs setup in
this region
• To financially assist campuses and universities to setup the required
infrastructure

Corporates:

• To setup their labs in Kalaburgi region
