1. To prepare the classroom and learners for the reading session.

B. Development Pre - reading

The teacher explains what “Drop Everything and Read” (DEAR)


activity is and discusses further the significance of knowing how to
read and comprehend the material that has been read.

silently for a maximum of 30 minutes with no interruptions.
