ORDER

1. The scheme and syllabus of BA Hindi Language and Literature in accordance with CBCSS UG
Regulations 2019 has been implemented in the University, with effect from 2019 Admission
onwards, vide paper read (1) above.
2. The meeting of the Board of Studies in Hindi UG held on 29/03/2021, vide paper read (2)
above has approved the Out Come Based Education(OBE) in the existing syllabus of BA Hindi
Language and Literature, under CBCSS UG Regulations 2019, without changing the content
w.e.f 2020 admission onwards.
3. The Dean, Faculty of Language and Literature has approved, vide paper read (3) above, the
minutes of the meeting of the Board of Studies in Hindi UG held on 29/03/2021.
4. Considering the urgency in implementation of the syllabus, sanction has been accorded by the
Vice Chancellor on 27-04-2021 to implement Outcome Based Education in the existing syllabus
of BA Hindi Language and Literature, in tune with the new CBCSS UG Regulations 2019,
without changing the content, with effect from 2020 Admission onwards, subject to ratification by
the Academic Council.
5. The scheme and syllabus of BA Hindi Language and Literature under CBCSS UG Regulations
2019 incorporating Outcome Based Education (OBE) in the existing syllabus, without changing
the content is therefore implemented with effect from 2020 Admission onwards, subject to
ratification by the Academic Council.

Ability Enhancement Courses/ Audit Courses
These are courses which are mandatory for a programme but
not counted for the calculation of SGPA or CGPA. There shall be
one Audit course each in the first four semesters. These courses
are not meant for classroom study. The students can attain only
pass (Grade P) for these courses. At the end of each semester
there shall be examination conducted by the college from a pool
of questions (Question Bank) set by the University. The list of
passed students must be sent to the University from the colleges
at least before the fifth semester examination. The list of courses

Programme Educational Objectives


- The learning of language and literature makes a
student a better human being. Through literature
them is exposed to the society thus making them
understand the various aspects of human life and
environment.
- To train the students in the field of translation so
that they can use the expertise thus gained to
enrich Malayalam and Hindi literature through
translation.
- To channelize their creative abilities towards
writing in Hindi so as to enable them to contribute
towards Indian literature.
- To make them able to communicate in Hindi
fluently so that they can get better opportunities
even outside Kerala.

Translation acts as bridge between different
cultures.The peculiarities of culture of Kerala are
best manifested in its literature.Hence it is of
utmost importance that more and more
Malayalam works be translated into Hindi . Many
works of noted Malayalam writers have already
been translated into Hindi and they have won
national acclaim. Many present –day writers of
Kerala are also actively engaged in translating
Malayalam literary works into Hindi.

Concidering the importance of


translation,our project work coming
under the programme is focused on
literary translation .A literary work from
Malayalam literature selected by the
studentunder the guidance of the teacher is
to be translated into Hindi by the
student.The selected literary work can
either be a collection of short stories,a
collection of poems,a short novel or any
other work connected with literature .The
project work is to be started at the
beginning of fifth semester and should
end before the end of sixth semester
.Continuous guidance of the teacher can
help the student ti achieve great results in
this field.
 Study tour Report :
A cultural visit will be conducted at fifth
