3. Features
1. Automatically checks the remaining power of the battery
and displays it on the monitor (LCD).
2. When there is insufficient battery power, the monitor
(LCD) will display the low power indicator symbol " ".
3. Insulation test (1000V, 500V, 250V, 125V, 100V, 50V)
When conducting the insulation test, first insulate the
power of the circuit to test in order to avoid damaging
the instrument. If the power of the test circuit is not
disconnected, it will automatically switch to the voltage
test mode with higher safety. After the power insulation
is completed, the system will ask the user to confirm
again whether to perform this function, and then enter
the insulation test function. At this time, the internal
voltage used by the instrument will be displayed using
an analogy and test the insulation resistance value that
needs to be tested. To stop the insulation test function,
please press TEST to interrupt the test.
4. EnerSave (Energy-saving function)
After pressing the TEST button (TEST ON LEDlight
turns on), the test will automatically turn off after 10
seconds; if the user wants to extend the restricted time
for the test, press and hold down the TEST button (for
approximately 3-4 seconds). The tester will buzz, mean-
ing that the energy-saving function has been turned off.
EnerSave (Energy-saving function) mode is turned on
by default; every time a certain test function is activated,
the TEST button needs to be pressed and held down for
3-4 seconds to turn off the energy-saving function and
extend the test time.
-3-
5. While on theLowΩgear
Press the TEST button to select the conduction test
(short-circuit/open-circuit test) function. The short-circuit
current of this test mode can reach 100mA and voltage
2.5V; the exact value of the measured resistance is
0.01Ω, and the measurement rage is0-200Ω.
The buzzer will sound when the resistance is lower
than3Ω.
6. Automatic power off
It will automatically power off when not used for 3 min-
utes.
7. MOV function (component over-voltage protection test)
Select to enter the MOVtest function and press the
TEST button; the voltage of the component to test
will gradually increase from 0Vdc until the maximum
power that can be provided by the rated current1mA is
reached. Under the rated current, the equivalent rated
voltage (Max AC) and MOV reference voltage will both
be displayed on the monitor (LCD).
8. Automatic discharge process (Used for insulation test)
After performing the insulation test, the automatic dis-
charge process will be activated; other tests can only
continue to be performed after the residual voltage has
been discharged to within a safe value.
9. IncludesLCDbacklight illumination function.
10. Auto-hold (Value lock)
This is automatically enabled by default, and the moni-
tor (LCD) will display the "Hold" instruction. This function
will retain the last tested value so that it can be read
afterwards. Therefore, when performing tests, users can
focus on contacting the test points with the test cable,
and read the retained test value on the monitor (LCD)
-4-
afterwards so that they won’t get distracted by focusing
on the monitor (LCD) at the same time, improving the
safety while testing.
This function will lock the last value on the monitor (LCD)
so that it can be read later in order to prevent danger.
11. Passed European safety inspection and meets the fol-
lowing provisions:
IEC/EN 61010-1 CAT III 600V
EN 61326

4. Operation Guide
On the panel of this meter, there are two pole sockets, red
(LINE) and black (EARTH); users can insert the test cables
based on the colors.
-6-
Press the "TEST" button (the testing time
Low Ω of this mode will last for approximately 1
Gear minute; the test will stop if the TEST button
is pressed again within 1 minute) to use the
conduction test function; the short-circuit cur-
rent of this mode is 100mA and if the resis-
tance is lower than 3Ω, the buzzer will sound
when tested as low impedance.
-7-
5. Automatic Discharging of DUT
When a certain test has completed, the TEST ON LED will
flash and the tester will automatically perform the discharge
process to release the residual voltage on the test cable in
order to protect the internal circuits.
Please note that when performing tests, the test cable must
have firm contact with the circuit to test.

6. Operation Method and Test Results
This series of testers uses buttons to achieve the effect of
controlling the tester; the tester will display the results on
the monitor (LCD). Each tester has two to three terminal
connectors.
●● Digital monitor
Large size LCD monitor(LCD) 68x34mm
●● Fuse
600V/500mA quick-break fuse
●● Over-voltage protection and short-circuit protection
When used improperly, the over-voltage protection will
burn the fuse in order to protect internal circuits and
reduce the damage.
●● Automatic battery power test
When the tester is activated, it will automatically draw
the current (high current) of the battery in order to cal-
culate the remaining power and display it on the (LCD)
Monitor. After the tester is activated, it will automatically
monitor the power (without drawing its current) of the
battery; when the battery has insufficient power, the
monitor (LCD) will display the low power indicator sym-
bol" ".
●● Automatic voltage test
When the tester is activated, and after the remaining
power of the battery has been tested automatically, it
will automatically switch to the function where the gear
of the switch is at in order to improve safety.
●● Insulation test
The measured voltage of the insulation test has 6gears:
50V, 100V, 125V, 250V, 500V and 1000V; in which the
maximum rated currents are all 1.0mA.
-9-
50Vinsulation test, its test resistance range is
50kΩ~400MΩ and if lower than 50kΩ, "Lo" will be dis-
played.
100Vinsulation test, its test resistance range is
100kΩ~800MΩ and if lower than 100kΩ, "Lo" will be dis-
played.
125Vinsulation test, its test resistance range is
125kΩ~1GΩ and if lower than 125kΩ, "Lo" will be dis-
played.
250V insulation test, its test resistance range is
250kΩ~2GΩ and if lower than 250kΩ, "Lo" will be dis-
played.
500V insulation test, its test resistance range is
500kΩ~4GΩ and if lower than 500kΩ, "Lo" will be dis-
played.
1000V insulation test, its test resistance range is
1MΩ~8GΩ, and if lower than 1MΩ, "Lo" will be dis-
played.
The is equipped with the functions to automatically
calculate the PI (Polarization Index) and DAR (Dielectric
Absorption Ratio), and has an automatic timer built-in.
●● Quickly press the TEST button (for approximately 1sec-
onds), and the energy-saving function will end after 10
seconds.
●● Long-press the TEST button (for approximately 3 sec-
onds), and the PI and DAR functions will end after 10
minutes.
●● Conduction test
Under the circuit test mode, the open-circuit voltage is
+2.5Vdc and the short-circuit current is approximately
100mA; the measurable resistance range is 0~200Ω.
-10-
●● Energy-saving function
Enabling the energy-saving function can prolong the life
of the battery. To activate the energy-saving function
for intermittent testing, please press the TEST button
directly. If the TEST button is pressed and held down for
3-4 seconds, the tester will turn off the energy-saving
function and extend the test time to 10 minutes. The
energy-saving function is applicable to all test modes.
●● Automatic voltage test
When the test cable is connected to the circuit, the
voltage test function will be performed automatically to
measure the voltage value of the circuit to test, and the
warning buzzer will be activated in order to protect the
internal circuits of the instrument.
●● Battery
Uses 8 1.5V batteries. Same model alkaline batteries
can be used.
