1. Prerequisite for Space and Pages

a. To enable the On-Premises Spaces and Pages, the environment must have Front End Server 2020 and
SAP S/4HANA 2020 or higher.
b. User must have access of below:
TCODE – PFCG, /n/ui2/FLP
Fiori app – Manage Launchpad Space (F4834) , Manage Launchpad Page (F4512)
c. Please activate the OData services below:
FDM_SPACE_REPOSITORY_CUST_SRV
FDM_PAGE_REPOSITORY_CUST_SRV
FDM_PAGE_RUNTIME_SRV
FDM_TRANSPORT_SRV
(If needed, rebuild the metadata cache)
2. Basic Info and Best Practices

a. Space – Space has navigation items; a space holds multiple pages.
b. Pages – Pages have single or multiple sections.
c. Sections – Section is the Subareas in the Pages; Section has single or multiple Tiles.
d. Tiles – A tile represents an app on the SAP Fiori launchpad.

3. Activate the Space and Pages in Fiori Launchpad

a. Go to User’s Icon and Click on Setting Button
b. Click on Space and Pages >> check both checkbox - Use Spaces, Show My Home >>Save
c. Fiori Launchpad will be reloaded with Space and Pages.

4. Steps to Create new Space and Page

Note: If you have existing space and just want to create page, continue at STEP 5
a. Launch the Fiori app – ‘Manage Launchpad Spaces’
b. Click on “Create” button and fill in the required details in Popup. Here, we can select “Also create a
page” option to create a New Page in this space.
Click on “Create” Button to save.
Note: If a page is already created, you do not need to select the Also Create a Page option
Please follow the standard naming convention for Space and page name,
i.e. Space Name: <Z/Y + Functional Area +SP+ Text>
Page Name: <Z/Y + Functional Area + PG + TEXT>.

c. Navigate to the Page in Edit mode, If Page visibility is Hidden, select the row and click on the Set Visible.
d. Click on Page and select the Page (Row) navigate to Page Details and click “Edit”.
Give the Section Name in Section Title, If you want to add more section then click on the Add Section
e. Add catalogs from which app needs to be assigned, search the catalog and select.
Add as Tile and Add as Link option will look like this, Click on Save Button and Save the changes.

5. Steps to Create new Page

Note: If you want to only create a new Page and add newly created Page in existing Space.
a. Launch the Fiori app – Manage Launchpad Pages
b. Click on “Create” button and fill in the required details in Popup.

Please follow the standard naming convention for Space and page name,
i.e. Space Name: <Z/Y + Functional Area +SP+ Text>
Page Name: <Z/Y + Functional Area + PG + TEXT>.
c. Click “Create” to save and then “Edit” in Page Details to process for next step.
Give the Section Name in Section Title
d. Add catalogs from which app needs to be assigned, search the catalog and select tile and Add
Click Save, to save changes.

e. Launch the Fiori app – ‘Manage Launchpad Spaces’, select Space in which you want to add newly
created Page.
f. Click “Edit” in Space Details, search Newly created Page and Add & Save.
6. Assign Space and Catalogs to the Role

a. Go to TCODE– PFCG in SAP Logon, create Role and add details.
b. In edit mode, go to Manu > Insert Node > SAP Fiori Launchpad > Launchpad Space
c. Assign the Catalogs to the Role, Manu > Insert Node > SAP Fiori Launchpad > Launchpad Catalog (Add all
catalogs, from where you have added tiles in your Page)
d. Assign this Role to the User

7. FIORI Launchpad with Space and Page

d. Spaces with multi page structure show drop down arrow, so user can select and
see other page from the same Space.
