    Evo Sil HWA
    ®
    (ROTTA -SIL WET 97850)

    Function Softener with stability to shear forces; for wovens, knitgoods and terry towelling
    made of cellulosic and synthetic fibres and their blends; can be applied by
    padding, slop padding or exhaust processes (including drum washing units)

    Properties - Very soft, fleecy handle with a very smooth surface on wovens
    and knitgoods
    - Antistatic effect
    - Improves the sewing properties of knitgoods
    - Facilitates the Sanfor process
    - Does not impair whiteness at temperatures up to 160 °C
    - Can be used as an additive in resin finishing liquors
    - Low-foaming, stable to shear forces
    - Stable at pH 2 - 11
    - Can be overdyed (preliminary trials are recommended)
    - Basically compatible with nonionic, anionic and cationic products;
    preliminary trials are recommended to test liquor stability

    Technical Data Form supplied: Clear, colourless to yellowish micro-emulsion


    pH: 4-6
    Ionicity: Nonionic
    Dilution procedure: Can be diluted in any ratio with water at
    room temperature
    Shelf life: At least 1 year in original closed containers.
    Do not expose to frost.

    Application

    Pad application

    To modify handle:
    1 g/l acetic acid 60%
    10 - 40 g/l Evo Sil HWA

    Resin finishing of 100% cotton (e.g. shirting fabrics):


    1 g/l acetic acid 60%
    60 - 80 g/l Evo Pret RCI
    20 - 60 g/l Evo Sil HWA
    Liquor pick-up: approx. 70%
    e.g. shock drying / curing:
    Temperature: 170 °C
    Time: 40 - 60 s

    Raising agent for WO, WO blends and PES Fleece:


    0.5 - 1 g/l acetic acid 60%
    1 % Evo Sil HWA
    1 g/l Sera Wash M-DF
    Raise

    Note
    The liquor can also be applied on the Contricrab or WEKO rotor spray unit.

    Exhaust application

    Application on the jet / circulating liquor unit:


    2-4 % Evo Sil HWA
    pH: 4.5 - 5 (acetic acid)
    Liquor temperature: 20 - 40 °C
    Treatment time: 15 - 20 min
    Dry at 110 - 160 °C

    Softening of garments, e.g. jeans
    Add the following to the final rinsebath:
    1 - 2 g/l acetic acid 60%
    1 - 4 g/l Evo Sil HWA
    Drain, tumble-dry
