DESCRIPTION:
This Technical Bulletin (TB) provides instructions to modify the M250-C47E/4 engine
wire harness routing required to provide additional clearance when the auxiliary
generator 206-062-200-147 is installed in conjunction with the 407-709-002-101 Single
Pilot Instrument Flight Rules (SPIFR) Kit. The engine harness routing changes have
been incorporated by the Rolls-Royce Corporation (RRC) Commercial Engine Bulletin
(CEB) 72-7009. RRC engines serial number CAE-854059 and subsequent will have the
intent of this TB and CEB 72-7009 incorporated prior to delivery.
This TB is a pre-requisite to be accomplished prior to, or in conjunction with, the
installation of the SPIFR Kit on affected helicopters and engine serial numbers prior to
CAE-854059.
All M250-C47E/4 engine serial numbers can be installed on all 407 serial numbers
54806 and subsequent, not having the SPIFR Kit installed.
Applicability of this bulletin to any spare part shall be determined prior to its installation
on an affected helicopter.
