At 7:30 PM, students from different levels gathered for this significant event. Sir James
Bernadas, an assistant head at CEDO, took the stage as the speaker. He began by
pointing out the serious problem of too much trash piling up around the school. He
stressed how bad this is for the environment and why it's up to each person to fix it. Sir
James Bernadas didn't just talk—he backed up his points with numbers and real stories
to show how trash hurts nature. He said we all need to work together to make less
trash, use things again, and recycle to help nature stay healthy.
The Basura ko, Iuwi ko Launching event wasn't just about talking. It also
introduced a cool new idea: the "Basura ko, Iuwi ko" campaign. This campaign asks
students to bring their own trash home instead of just depending on the school to clean
it up. Sir James Bernadas made it fun too, with games and activities all about managing
trash. These activities were all about teaching students to sort trash, make compost,
and why we should cut down on using stuff we throw away quickly.
