Misua With Meatball Recipe
Misua with meatballs is a comforting and nutritious Filipino noodle soup dish. Here's a simple recipe to
make it at home:
Ingredients:
1 egg
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine the ground pork or chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg,
breadcrumbs, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
2. Shape the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter.
3. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the meatballs until they are golden brown on all
sides. Once cooked, set them aside on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
4. In a separate pot, heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic
and chopped onion until fragrant and translucent.
5. Pour the chicken or beef broth into the pot and bring it to a simmer.
6. Add the julienned carrots and sliced cabbage to the broth. Let them cook for about 3-4 minutes
until they are slightly tender.
7. Season the broth with fish sauce (patis) or salt and ground black pepper according to your taste
preference.
8. Carefully add the misua noodles to the pot. Let them cook for about 2-3 minutes until they are
soft and translucent.
9. Once the misua noodles are cooked, add the fried meatballs to the soup. Allow them to heat
through for another minute or two.
10. Ladle the misua soup with meatballs into serving bowls. Garnish with chopped green onions.
11. Serve hot, optionally with halved hard-boiled eggs on the side.
Enjoy your comforting misua with meatballs soup! Adjust the seasoning according to your taste
preference, and feel free to add other vegetables or herbs for extra flavor.
