What’s up fellow readers, today we are in Kolkata, India, for a relaxation getaway.
When I first landed, the scent of the Dosai from the tea stalls next door flowed into my nose.
The smell of all the pastries lit a smile from my face. I could not resist having breakfast after
getting greeted with that smell. Bose airport, was the local airport for Kolkata. In the middle,
there was a bright large knight on horse. It was bright and huge. There were many tourists
taking photos of it and I was one of them. It was the centerpiece of the large airport.
It was ten in the morning and I was taking a stroll outside when I saw
Kids playing cricket on a patch of grass. It was a very popular sport in
India and was seen played everywhere. I was shocked with the power
That the kids hit the ball at. It fell across the whole playing field! After
watching a game. I decided it was time to leave or we were going to
miss our check in.
Our check in was at three and we had time to go sightseeing at one more place, and that was
Howrah bridge. It was built by the British in the 1943. The bridge went over Hooghly River. The
view was amazing and the sun was absolutely stunning.
Watching the fisherman fish, and the waves flowing as smooth
as silk. Fun fact, the reason this bridge was such a famous
tourist attraction because it was one of the longest cantilever
bridges in the world. Even I didn’t know that! This bridge was
usually filled with cars but since it was early in the morning
there were just a few passing by.
It was 2:30 when we left the restaurant and we barely made it in time for check in. We were
staying in one of the most fanciest hotels in the whole of Kolkata. The Oberai Grand was the
name of the hotel. The chandelier in the front of the hotel probably weighed more than me, and
the hotel floors were made with marble. And although I thought the lobby was the best part of
the hotel but I was wrong. The room had a king size bed and when I laid on it, it felt like I was
sleeping on a cloud. There was a 50” flat screen TV with all the channels on it! The bathroom
had a huge bathtub and the shower had all the type of modes. That was it for the hotel room.
But there were other amenities like an olympic swimming pool, and a gym. Since we had a long
flight here, we were just going to stay in the hotel until tomorrow, so stay tuned to see what's
happening next in this blog!
Hello guys! Today is day two of the blog KOLKATA : THE CITY OF LIFE. Today we were going
to go on an adventure and see all the tourist attractions of Kolkata. I woke up, brushed my teeth
and decided to go exercise for awhile. The variety of gym equipment was really helpful as I was
not really that buff. I was running the whole time at the gym and I didn’t even notice time passed
so fast. I showered and we were off
The last activity of the day was lunch. After eating we went straight to the airport and was
about to take a flight back home. Kolkata was fun to be at and I will definitely visit again.
Thank you for reading this blog, and I hope to see you on the next adventure.
