Since July 16, 2019, the Korean government has been implementing a policy that
requires foreigners and overseas Koreans staying in Korea for six months or more to have
health insurance, providing them with the same insurance benefits as Koreans when they
visit a hospital or clinic.
Foreigners (overseas Koreans) must pay their medical premium in advance by the 25th of
every month. These payments serve as the valuable source of revenue that will be used
to cover health-care costs paid to hospitals or clinics for the recovery of patients.
※ If you have recently moved, you must notify the NHIS (customer service center for
foreigners or a branch office), Korea Immigration Service, and your local community
center of your address change.
Moreover, we also provide information on the payment process and updates made to
relevant policies via text message occasionally. Please register your phone number with the
NHIS to receive various useful information.
| Apply for automatic transfer You can automatically pay without worrying about late payments.
| Receive electronic bills You can easily and conveniently receive electronic bills via email.

money through a wire transfer immediately.
