SUMMER PLACEMENT REPORT

Batch of 2021-2023
Dean’s Message
It gives me immense pleasure to convey that our Summer Placement Process has been
successfully completed in an all-virtual setting. Once again, this successful endeavor is
a reflection of the academic rigor at the institute along with the outstanding aptitude
and quality of the students. It goes a long way to prove the trust and the confidence
that the corporate world bestows on the institute and the students of FMS.
Despite studying in a virtual setting, the Batch of 2021-2023 witnessed the highest
ever Average Stipend. This was facilitated by the availability of a diverse pool of
students for the variety of profiles offered by the companies across different domains.
Transparency in the entire process made it possible that the students and recruiting
companies had the opportunity to meet the mutual aspirations and expectations.
I would like to thank all stakeholders involved, as without their unconditional support
and help, this process would not have been completed effectively. Our heartfelt
gratitude to all the recruiters who exhibited immense faith in the skills and aptitude of
the students of FMS Delhi.
I would also like to express our thanks to our fellow faculty members, students and the
illustrious alumni who have been a great source of support and encouragement in the
smooth conduct of the placement process. This feat would not have been possible
without their unconditional and tireless efforts. With this another stellar placement
season, we are committed to providing the brightest minds of the country to the
managerial landscape of corporates.

Prof. Vivek Suneja

Dean, FMS Delhi

2
Placement Overview
The Summers placement process at FMS Delhi was conducted during October 2021.
To ensure a smooth flow in a completely virtual mode, a platform was designed in
house and integrated with the video conferencing platforms giving the recruiters
flexibility.

To ensure a smooth and transparent process for the companies, some important
measures were taken. Firstly, a slotting exercise was done to democratically decide
when a company would come in the placement process. Also, for the fifth year in a
row, a scheduling algorithm was run in the placement process to optimally match the
company and student’s preferences during the recruitment exercise.

To encourage entrepreneurship, FMS provides a placement holiday to students who

wish to pursue their own ventures and allows them to participate in the upcoming
finals process while considering the work put in the venture as Internship.

At FMS, there is a strong culture of experiential learning and students supplement

their academic learning with practical insights from the corporate world. Nestled in a
strategic location that is at the crossroads of busy corporate and student activity, as a
part of Arthashastra Talk series, FMS Delhi hosted over 150 business leaders to
facilitate a comprehensive learning curve for its students.

This is truly reflected in the dominance of its students in the best and the most
exclusive corporate competitions in the country. From hosting several industry leaders
for knowledge sessions to the inception of the Annual Business Conclave - Unnayan,
a one of its kind Leadership summits; the tenure has brought about the best amongst
the students and contributed greatly to the nurturing academic culture of the FMS
student fraternity.
