    Negative Form:

    PERSONAL PRONOUN + DIDN’T + INFINITIVE VERB + REST OF THE SENTENCE

     We form the negative of regular and irregular verbs with didn’t + infinitive without to.

    Questions and short answers:

    Yes / No questions:

    I
    You Yes, I did
    DID He / She / It understand the homework?
    We No, I didn’t
    They

    QUESTION: DID + PERSONAL PRONOUN + INFINITIVE VERB + REST OF THE SENTENCE + ?


    ANSWER: YES, + PERSONAL PRONOUN + DID / NO, + PERSONAL PRONOUN + DIDN’T

     We make past simple Yes/No questions with did + subject + infinitive + ?

    WH- Questions:

    I
    Where you go? I went to the beach.

    Who we see? I saw Martin.

    QUESTION: WH- + DID + PERSONAL PRONOUN + INFINITIVE VERB + REST OF THE SENTENCE
    +?
    ANSWER: PERSONAL PRONOUN + VERB (PAST SIMPLE) + REST OF THE SENTENCE.

     We make past simple Wh- questions with: question word + did + subject + infinitive verb +
    rest of the sentence.
