Reflection

The three journal activities of Assessment 3 help me a lot in approaching my future job. The
activities have benefited me as I move forward in my career. Participating in two events and
activities on Linkedin gave me an intriguing experience of various recruitment challenges
after spending 12 weeks with academic lessons on The Service Enterprise. Two events, the
Professional Networking Event and the Professional Careers Conference, were especially
memorable for me. The leaders and experts mainly shared their knowledge and experiences
about the procedures and methods utilised in the interviews at those two events. Connecting
and interacting with colleagues, professionals, and employers on Linkedin also helps me
build my network. I know that academic knowledge alone is insufficient; we also need to
develop more specialised soft skills, like presentation and communication, which employers
highly value in the modern workplace. By acquiring this information and developing these
talents, I can better myself, address my weaknesses, and differentiate myself from other job
seekers by the value I can add to the company.

After joining three activities, I have learned many lessons and experiences from the speakers
and specialists. Significantly, the speaker shared many tips for success and managing your
own life. The article “Five Tips for Your First Job” also mentions many tips that can help us
to develop further in the workplace. These tips can help us have a worthwhile experience and
familiarise us with the new workplace environment. This article advises assisting a recent
graduate in avoiding issues and challenges at work. Moreover, the most impressive lessons
are about networking and maintaining relationships. Maintaining a relationship that will
result in several advantages is crucial if I have the aptitude and aspiration to become a leader.
Leaders will be able to maintain and balance the connections among employees, resulting in
the most effective and practical team possible. It will boost my confidence and open up a lot
of unanticipated job development chances for me. Because when we project the same positive
energy onto others, people like employers will feel confident in our abilities. Modern society
is advanced, and young people receive the best education in the world. Since then, I've had a
mindset that places a higher importance on oneself than it does on others. However, a
persistent and dedicated attitude with coworkers and clients is crucial to gauge how I can
compete with other coworkers in addition to the degree or skills. I found the article from
week six titled "What Google Learned From Its Quest" to Build the Perfect Team"
impressive. The article discussed Google's advertising regarding how worker research might
increase productivity while emphasising teamwork. The organisation's top executives
believed that building the best teams and nurturing them together would boost efficiency. The
final impressive paper is “The key to employability: developing a practical model of graduate
employability” in week 3. This essay presents a transparent, helpful model of employability
that makes the idea simple to understand and can be applied as a framework for working with
students to improve their employability. There will always be areas where a person's
employability could be strengthened. The model does not show a procedure a student follows
while in higher education and subsequently graduates with lifelong employability. To ensure
adaptation to the demands of a changing world and a higher likelihood of occupational
success and pleasure, the model's issues are likely to be examined numerous times.
I have internalised the advantageous lessons I have learnt that will be useful in the future after
participating in learning activities for 12 weeks. I still need to work on and change a lot of
shortcomings, like procrastination. I'll modify my study and working practices by creating a
scientific work schedule with more precise objectives. When handling situations, I tend to be
impatient and resolve issues emotionally. To combat this, I increase my reading to help me
calm down, gain more reasoning and perspective, and handle issues skillfully. A person must
also have talent and desire for the vocation they want to pursue; speakers were informed
during these gatherings. The information I acquired has helped me become more adept at
overcoming weaknesses, communicating confidently, feeling good about myself at work, and
creating and maintaining connections in social systems. Through each session, I have gained
a deeper understanding of my strengths and shortcomings and set a goal of more successfully
forming new relationships. At the same time, I will pay special attention to my colleagues
and teachers to develop into a truly knowledgeable person in my quest. These items will
increase my chances of advancement and help me develop into a leader with potential. While
attending university, I realised the value of teams. You will frequently be required to respond
to inquiries from clients or deal with challenging requests during working hours because they
require an efficient team to address issues immediately.
