Introduction
Imagine sipping organic wine while watching the sunset
over the mountains of the green Umbrian valley. This is
the experience that Buildner and Tili Vini winery are
looking to create with the Tili Wine Italy Guest Homes
competition.

Participants are tasked with creating a collection of five

guest homes to be located on the property of
Tili Vini Italy, a boutique winery that produces a range of
high-quality organic wines and oils. The guest homes
would need to be able to accommodate up to five
couples at a time, promoting and encouraging visitors
to take part in the wine tasting experiences available at
the vineyard.

Tili Vini Heritage
The Tili winery exports around 90,000–100,000 bottles a
year to wine lovers in Japan, USA, Denmark, Austria,
Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, and Sweden.
The winery itself sits across the hills that flank the town of
Assisi in Italy, a land rich in history, peaceful saints, and a
centuries-old tradition of wine and oil.

The Tili family's heritage dates back hundreds of years,

first arriving in the region from Northern Europe as far
back as 1200 CE. In the centuries since then, the family
has cultivated its land with love and hard work, creating a
location where they can grow the best fruit to create
traditional, organic wines and oils.

Since 1978, the current owners have continued bottling

the family’s traditional wine and oil products, with
techniques passed down through the generations. It was
the family’s dream to make their wine available to wine
enthusiasts from even the most remote corners of the
world, and passionate commitment and tenacious
research is making that dream come true.

Tili Vini today
In order to produce its organic wine in the most
sustainable method, Tili Vini utilizes new technology
and incorporates a number of eco-friendly practices.
Special techniques have been integrated into the
pruning and harvesting process, reducing reliance on
machinery and the subsequent output of CO2. This
includes techniques such as short pruning, tying with
traditional loops, spring thinning, and grassing
associated with targeted and calculated plowing.

Even the bottling of their wines is sustainable and

eco-friendly, using only recycled glass bottles and
natural cork. Tili Vini also follows strict regulations in
order to achieve its organic and DOC certification,
maintaining the absolute naturalness and traceability
of their products.

The family-run business takes great pride in its careful

and integrated efforts to produce fantastic wine

else that would negatively impact nature. Tili Vini Family Photo
