1. In Maintenance mode, turn the two quarter-turn fasteners to the left with a flat-
head screwdriver to release the left side panel.
2. Open the Maintenance door.
3. Empty the Waste Tray.
4. Move the Pipette Probe over the Waste Tray to prevent the retaining nut from
dropping into the instrument.

6. While holding the tubing, gently turn and twist the probe as you pull down on it to
remove it.

WARNING: The probe is sharp. Use caution when handling it.

7. Pull down on the lower collar to release it from the retaining block. The tubing will
uncoil from the tabs on the pipette arm carriage.
8. Pull the tubing up through the top of the Z-rack and down through the braided
sleeve.
9. Locate the top flow sensor on the left side of the instrument.
10. Turn the fitting to the left to loosen and remove the elbow from the valve.

7. Loop the excess tubing and secure it in the tabs on the side of the Pipette Arm

8. Use the tube cutter contained in the OV Spare Parts and Tool Kit to trim the end of
the tubing. This will ensure a tight fit between the end of the probe and the tubing.
9. Grip the cutter in the center and pull back on the release lever to open it.

WARNING: The tube cutter blade is very sharp.
