AIA Future Builder FAQs

1. What is AIA Future Builder?


AIA Future Builder is a variable life peso-denominated insurance product available in 5-, 10-
and Pay-to-Age-65 variant. It allows you to maximize your savings potential with the option
to diversify investments in locally managed and globally exposed funds.

2. What are the issue ages for this product?


Issue ages for the different pay-variants will be the following:

5-Pay 0 – 60
10-Pay 0 – 55 Age 100
Pay-to-65 0 – 50

3. For how long am I covered for the Life Insurance Benefit?


The Insured is covered until Age 100, after which the plan’s Face Amount, Account Value, or
the Guaranteed Death Benefit, whichever is higher, will be given to the Insured. This serves
as his maturity benefit

4. What will happen if the plan is surrendered?


If the plan has already earned Account Value, this will be given upon surrender, less
surrender charges (if any).

5. Can the insured and the owner be different individuals?


Yes, the insured and the owner of this product can be different individuals.

6. Can payor change the amount of premiums to be paid?


No. To increase the coverage of the owner, he/she needs to buy another plan.

7. Can payor change the payment mode anytime?


Yes, the payor can change his/her payment mode.

8. Can payor change the face amount?


No, changing of the Face Amount is not allowed for this product.

9. To whom shall the benefits be payable?


All living benefits are payable to the Owner of the plan. The death benefit of the plan is
payable to the elected beneficiary/s.

10. What are the requirements needed to be diagnosed as totally and permanently disabled?
Aside from the inability to perform 3 or more of the 6 activities of daily living, there is a
waiting period of 6 months.

11. Are accidents while riding a tricycle and/or pedicab qualify for the additional PA benefit?
Above listed types of public transportation are not covered. To qualify for the additional PA
benefit under Public Transportation, insured should have taken a vehicle that is (1) ticketed
and (2) has a specific route.

12. If the insured has claimed a portion of the PA coverage as a result of Accidental
Dismemberment and dies within 180 days from the accident, how much is the coverage
for Accidental Death?
The remaining PA coverage will be given. If death happens due to an unrelated accident,
100% of the PA coverage will be given.

13. Are all riders mandatory?


All riders for AIA Future Builder are optional riders.

14. What are the termination ages of the riders?


The Total and Permanent Disability Rider terminates upon age 65 while Personal Accident
terminates upon reaching age 75 of the Insured.

15. If the owner is an existing Vitality Member, does he still need to pay for the Vitality
membership fee?
Clients only need to pay for one Vitality membership. If he is already a member of Philam
Vitality, he does not need to pay for another membership fee to enjoy the benefits of Vitality
for this plan.

16. If I decided to withdraw my AIA Vitality Loyalty Boost, would it be subjected to a


surrender charge?
Yes, it would be subjected to a surrender charge based on the current policy year you
made the withdrawal.

17. For the AIA Vitality Loyalty Boost, would the rider premium be included on the benefit
computation?
Yes, the base premium and the rider premium will be included on the total benefit
computation.

18. Is the payment for the plan’s premium and Vitality membership fee done separately?
Payment for the plan’s premium and the Vitality membership fee must be done at the same
time. The only requirement is to bring the policy number to pay for both.

19. After the payment period, will the payments for the Vitality Membership also stop?
To continuously enjoy the benefits of the Vitality Program, you must pay the annual Vitality
Membership fee even after the payment period of your plan. Client can choose to stop
paying for it anytime.
