reporting delay time, and (if configured as a Door Held Alarm) the local Aux
Relay can be triggered and latched until the door is re-closed. The system can
provide a user defined reporting delay time to reduce false alarms.
The reader interface can have a configurable delay for door held reporting. The
system can increase the priority of an event / alarm message for a particular
door.
Start-Up Procedure:
Switch on all the power supplies to the Controllers (PW6K1IC &
PW6K1R2) and the filed devices and monitor console located in the
control room from the specified breaker panel.
Switch on the workstation and monitor in the control room and verify the
ProWatch User Interface software is running.
Shut-Down Procedure:
Switch off all the workstation in the control room.
Log out from the ProWatch.
Switch off all the power supplies to the field devices.
Switch off the control equipment located in the equipment rack and
follow it by switching off the rack power supply.
Operators monitor the devices through the Alarm Monitoring Window (AMW)
workstations, which enable them to monitor the logs of each events and
alarms that occur at each location.
In case of emergency shutdown, switch off the equipment power supply from

Product Overview
Installation efficiency and flexibility are at the heart of the new MCP Indoor Call Point
range.
Installation time and ultimately cost, are of paramount importance to any fire or security
installer. The MCP range directly reflects this need by providing a unique ‘plug and play’
concept designed specifically to reduce installation time. All new MCP products utilise
a special terminal block, where all initial installation cabling is terminated. This terminal
block is then simply connected to the back of the MCP. Simple, but effective with no
re-termination required and no time wasted.
Both break glass and resettable operating elements can now be used within a manual
call point. To provide you with the greatest ‘flex-ability’, the new MCP range can be
configured as either a break glass or resettable unit by simply changing from one element
to another. No other additional parts or alternative products need to be ordered.
All MCP Indoor Call Point products also help preserve the integrity of the overall system
as illegal removal of the product lid will result in the call point operating and the system
going in to alarm.
The MCP3A product version is supplied with one normally open and one normally closed
contact. Selecting either the “Normally Open” or “Normally Closed” contact is easily
achieved by simply connecting the terminal block to the required connection in the back
of the MCP3 Product. Single pole changeover switching can be achieved with the use of
two terminal blocks.
All of our colour products can be supplied with a variety of markings to meet your
specific requirements. Please contact our sales team for further information.

1 For a system to be considered small, the Pro-Watch system shall have less than 5 clients, no more than 128 online readers, less than 5000 historical events per day, and proper
database maintenance conducted by the end user or servicing dealer. For a system to be large, it must have between 5000 and 50,000 historical events per day, between 128
and 512 online readers, between 5 and 15 client workstations, and proper database maintenance conducted by the end user or servicing dealer. If the system will have more than
50,000 events per day, exceed 512 online readers, exceed 15 client workstations, or use Pro-Watch server side functions like anti-passback, event triggers and procedures, Real
Time Data Transfer Utility, HSDK, etc. please consult Honeywell for custom server sizing.
2 RAID technology used for the larger system server – Disk sets 1 and 2. When several physical disks are set up to use RAID technology, the operating system will be installed on a
single disk (OS installed on RAID1 mirrored set) and the Database and Storage on a separate disk (RAID 5 or 10 disk set)
3 To estimate database storage space, use the following approximations and add to the base DB size of 500MB:
• Badgeholder storage = (# of badgeholders) x (75KB)* estimate based on typical captured picture size
• Event history storage = (# of events per day) x (2.5 KB) x (# of days to retain in server)
• A udit history storage = [(# of cardholder changes per day) + (# of system configuration changes per day)+(# of events per day)+(# of operator system changes per day)]* (1.2KB)
x (# of days to retain in server)
4 Honeywell highly recommends some type of removable media for daily database backups. Database backups should be removed from the server and stored in a safe, secure
location so in the event of system failure this valuable data can be recovered. We recommend two or more removable media per server based upon end user processes.
Alternatively, Honeywell system installers can engage the end-user’s IT group to participate in some type of network backup program.
• I mportant Notice – These server and workstation hardware guidelines are intended for use as a reference only. The specifications are subject to changes due to market
conditions, software updates, manufacturing changes, and other variables outside of our control. Honeywell recommends for planning based on system growth and expansion,
operating system updates and upgrades, database engine updates and upgrades, end user system expansion, historical data retention requirements, and archive data storage
requirements. Please consult with Honeywell as applicable for assistance.

Installation Notes
· When used outdoors, the manual station must also be rated for outdoor use.
· UL Listing does not permit external power source or connection of horn relay contacts to fire alarm or life safety devices.
· When properly installed, the operation of this cover will not interfere with the function of your life safety system.
· Horn operation and performance must be tested annually. Battery replacement is recommended annually dependent on usage and
battery expiration date.
· Ensure the service pin is properly inserted in the service pin receptor to silence horn while performing installation or servicing horn.
· If mounting to an uneven surface, a backplate (STI-1314) is recommended to help ensure proper sealing to mounting surface.
· The backplate may be drilled if wire access or screw mounting holes are needed.

Regular maintenance and inspection (at least annually) by the installer and frequent testing by the user are
vital to continuous satisfactory operation of any alarm system.
The installer should assume the responsibility of developing and offering a regular maintenance program
to the user, as well as acquainting the user with the proper operation and limitations of the alarm system
and its component parts. Recommendations must be included for a specific program of frequent testing (at
least weekly) to insure the system's operation at all times.

The general requirement for the mains supply to the
Controller is fixed wiring, using 3 core PVC cable not less
than 0.75mm2, fed from an isolating switched fuse spur at 3
Amps. This should be marked appropriately and secure from
unauthorised operation. All external wiring brought into the
unit must be adequately insulated with PVC or Neoprene.
If 3 core cable & a good quality plastic backbox is used, the
earth connection MUST terminate to the marked earth
terminal on the Controller PCB. If a metal back box is
used, the earth connection MUST be also made to the
earth bonding point on the back box.
Installation – Low Voltage Wiring
All low voltage, wiring to the Controller must be carefully
planned before installation commences. An example wiring
configuration, showing how ancillary devices are connected
to the unit, is shown below. Always segregate low voltage
wiring from mains wiring. For simplicity, the low voltage
connector can be pulled from the printed circuit board.
Low Voltage Cable
Use 4 or 6 core security alarm cable 7/0.2 or similar.
Typical system with wiring configuration
