A SPECTACULAR ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAYS
On the morning of February 1st, 2023, a road accident took place on the busy highways of Algiers, Algeria.
The accident involved two vehicles and caused significant damage to both cars.
The terrible accident happened when one of the drivers was trying to change lanes and collided with the other car.
The impact caused both vehicles to turn out of control and bang into the median. The police arrived at the scene of
the accident within minutes and started to investigate the cause of the crash.
According to bystanders, the Audi driver was at fault. They added that he overtook two trucks at a fast pace, lost
control of his car at the sharp bend, and violently bumped into the Skoda causing it to spin and roll over. The cars were
severely damaged, and the drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, no one was
seriously hurt; they only suffered minor injuries such as bruises and cuts. The police issued a warning to all drivers to be
more careful on the roads and to pay attention to their environment. They also stressed the importance of respecting
traffic laws and regulations to avoid accidents like this one.
In conclusion, the road accident on February 1st, 2023 was a wake-up call for all drivers to be more cautious
on the road. “Let's all work together to make our roads safer for everyone”, said one of the police officers.

This report presents detailed results of a survey about road accidents in Algeria. These days there is much talk
about the horrible increase of road accidents in Algeria for many reasons as such I decided to do a survey to know the
main factors behind this spread of accidents
For this purpose, I questioned a group of 50 drivers aged between “35-60” and have long experiences with
driving. I asked them whether they experienced road accidents or not. Most drivers claimed that they had experienced or
seen accidents along their ways. Since my intention is to know the causes, I questioned them why is such increase in these
road accidnets.10 of the informants said that it was because of climate changes, 18 of them said it was either drunk
driving or deconcentrated driving yet, 80 percent of them said that speed i.e. fast driving was the main reason behind the
spread of road accidents. More than this, drivers claimed that the ignorance of road regulations and the absence of strict
punishment legislations are other motives in this quest.

Nowadays, English becomes the first language in the world. Though great efforts are made to make English
learning easy, most of our pupils still find it difficult. The reason is that probably our pupils are not interested in learning
English. I decided to do a survey to find out if that was true.
A sample group of 30 school girls and boys between 15 and 19 were interviewed in order to know if they liked
learning English. I asked them if they liked learning English but my main interest was in if they faced any difficulties
in learning English.
12 pupils who were questioned said that they liked learning English while others told me that they didn’t.
I asked them to tell me why they didn’t like learning English. 08 of them told me that they were not interested in that
subject because it was not important compared to other subjects. 10 pupils said that they didn’t need it in their daily life
as they needed French language. When I asked my informants if they faced any difficulties in learning English,
all of them said yes. 11 pupils said that they had some difficulties in pronunciation. When I asked them if English
grammar was difficult to be understood and well grasped, 15 of them said yes. Only 04 pupils said that their lack of
enough English vocabulary made learning English difficult for them.
My survey showed that our pupils are not really interested in learning English. In my opinion, pupils need
to be made aware of the importance of English.

When I asked them if they had smart phones, 78 of the informants said they had one. I asked them if they used it for
playing games, 75 of them said yes and the others said no. Then, I asked them how often they played games,
56 told me that they always played games. 14 said that they usually played games. And the rest said that they did it from
time to time. After that, I asked them about their favourite mobile games. All the teenagers agreed on free fire
and pubg games. At the end I wanted to know whether they preferred revising lessons and reading or playing games.
Only 12 of the questioned students said they preferred revising lessons and reading, while most of them said that
