This module deals with the different fillings and spreads used in making a sandwich.
This focuses mainly on the ingredients that can be used as filling and/or as a spread
in sandwiches. This lesson will help you understand the purpose of fillings and
spread and familiarize the combination of fillings and spread which could be used in
a sandwich.

Sandwich Fillings
The filling is the heart of the sandwich. It is placed between or on top of the bread. It
provides flavor and body to the sandwich.
This explains the activity earlier, when you choose what sandwich you prefer you
might choose the second picture rather than the first one. If a sandwich has a filling
and spread rather than just plain bread it arouses our appetite and gives a pleasing
appearance to the sandwich.
