The Objective of Ecommerce might differ based on the business, but generally they comprise
lower costs, increasing sales, and improving customer satisfaction.
Sales can be increased by attracting more customers through improved marketing strategies or
by lowering the cost of products sold. Costs can be lowered by determining ways to reduce
manufacturing and distribution expenses or by developing new products that are cheaper to
produce. Customer satisfaction can be improved by offering a quality product that is easy to
use and fulfills customer needs.
Increasing Sales in Ecommerce Store
There are few objective of ecommerce that businesses should aim for when trying to upscale
sales in their ecommerce store: One needs to improve on the conversion rates.
Increasing Brand Awareness
One of the most common reasons businesses opt to use online marketing is to enhance brand
awareness. When customers, through online channels, are introduced to a company or product,
it creates a stronger connection between them and the brand.
Improving Customer Satisfaction
There are a few objectives that can assist with this, such as offering a good customer
experience, fulfilling customer needs, and reducing complaints. Satisfying customer needs, one
objective of ecommerce, includes ensuring that the products and services provided fulfills the
requirements of the customer. This can be done through making sure of accuracy in product
information, providing useful guides and tutorials, and responding quickly to questions.
EXISTING SYSTEM AND CURRENT SYSTEM APPROACH.

Existing System:
1. Brick-and-Mortar Store: The existing system might involve a traditional physical clothing
store, which operates solely from a physical location.
2. Limited Customer Reach: The reach of the store is limited to the local or regional area, and
it relies heavily on foot traffic and local advertising.
3. Manual Inventory Management: Inventory management is often done manually, making it
prone to errors and making it difficult to keep track of stock levels in real-time.
4. Limited Shopping Hours: Customers can only shop during the store's open hours, which can
be inconvenient for those with busy schedules.

Current System:
1. E-commerce Website: Transition to an e-commerce platform where customers can browse,
select, and purchase clothing items online.
2. Global Customer Reach: Expand the customer base beyond the local area by making the shop
accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
3. Digital Inventory Management: Implement a digital inventory management system to track
stock levels in real-time, automate reordering, and reduce the risk of overselling.
4. 24/7 Shopping: Allow customers to shop at any time of the day or night, providing
convenience and accessibility.

application) that helps to deliver content that can be accessed through the Internet. The most
common use of web servers is to host web sites but there are other uses such as data storage or
running enterprise applications.

Browser and platform capabilities
there are many different web browsers, such as google chrome, windows internet explorer and
mozilla firefox. but each browser renders graphics in different ways. the browsers interpret the
code and must be taken into consideration when designing a website.
programming requirements
web pages are usually written in html, within this code other languages can be used such as
PHP, ASP and javascript. HTML itself does not provide e-commerce capabilities so another
language must be used aswell Browsers A web browser is a programme/application designed
to display the internet with web pages, a few examples are Opera, Windows internet explorer
and Google Chrome
Server Software
Software is required in order for the server to run, the software manages the connections and
the server, a few examples of home server software
are:
FreeNas
Ubuntu Server Edition
Apache
Debian
WHAT CONTRIBUTION WOULD THE PROJECT MAKE?

1. Accessibility: Online clothing shops make fashion accessible to a global audience. People
from different geographical locations can browse and purchase clothing items without the
constraints of physical store locations. This increases the reach of fashion brands and promotes
diversity in fashion choices.
2. Convenience: Convenience is a key contribution of online clothing shops. Shoppers can
browse and make purchases 24/7, eliminating the need to adhere to traditional store hours. This
convenience is especially beneficial for busy individuals who may not have time to visit
physical stores regularly.
3. Variety and Diversity: Online clothing shops often offer a broader range of clothing styles,
sizes, and brands compared to brick-and-mortar stores. This diversity caters to a wider
customer base, including individuals with specific fashion preferences or those looking for
unique styles.
4. Customization : Some online clothing shops employ algorithms and data analytics to provide
personalized recommendations based on a shopper's past purchases and preferences. This level
of customization enhances the shopping experience and encourages repeat business.
5. Cost Efficiency: Online shops often have lower overhead costs compared to physical stores.
This can lead to cost savings that are passed on to customers in the form of competitive pricing
or discounts, making fashion more affordable for many.
6. Reduced Environmental Impact: By reducing the need for physical store space, online
clothing shops can contribute to environmental sustainability. They can also implement eco-
friendly practices in shipping and packaging to further reduce their carbon footprint.
7. Innovation in Retail Technology: Online clothing shops drive innovation in retail technology.
They are at the forefront of developments such as augmented reality (AR) try-on experiences,
virtual showrooms, and advanced sizing tools, enhancing the online shopping experience.
8. Global Market Expansion : Online clothing shops can easily expand their market reach
beyond their home countries, tapping into international markets without the need for physical
presence abroad. This globalization fosters cultural exchange and the introduction of new
fashion trends.

effectively and efficiently. It will improve its output and lead to its competitive advantage.

new market and marketers' can easily evaluate their product and company's performance. A
growing number of firms in various industries, such as banking, education, commerce, and
tourism, etc. have improved their services by both incorporating technologies into their service
delivery process. Integration of technology in services is becoming very common; however,
very little academic research has been conducted to examine its influence. The issues related
to Ecommerce are also on the rise which is posing serious threat to its tall future and hence
demands right strategies on part of marketers. The research works on E-commerce propose
good number of variables to be taken care of if marketers need to be successful in this newly
business model. The factors which will significantly contribute to the success of the E-
Commerce industry and focused upon should be consistency of transaction steps, consistency
of Web site design, replacement guarantee, MCommerce services, consistency of promotions,
consistency of in-stock indications, consistency of product variety, location based services,
multiple payment option, right content, shipment option, legal requirement of generating
invoices for online transactions.
