Program
13 October 2023
Kelak Consultancy Pakistan (KCP) has been invited to propose a program involving senior team at a
business unit of the Packages Group. Each program will identify and address an organisational or
business challenge. The challenge will be selected based on inputs and discussion with the Executive
Sponsor (often the CEO) and their core team. The program will provide an opportunity for the senior
team to work together to solve the challenge and also help with their capacity building so they bond,
develop, and mature as an effective, adaptable and high performance team. KCP will design the
program in way that fully engages and energises all participants to work as ‘one team’ during the
program.
KCP will employ the Simplexity Thinking System (STS) to assist participants in deep diving on
the selected challenge, unearthing and identifying interrelated challenges and sub-challenges,
stimulating new possibilities and options, and developing innovative solutions and actions plans. STS is
a proven human-centric methodology for innovative thinking, problem solving, strategic planning,
continuous improvement and change management. It is a structured method to diagnose company-
wide critical issues and challenges. It enables the development of innovative solutions in a collaborative
manner which strengthens the buy-in and ownership by teams, with clear tangible results. The method
builds on and enhances the employee’s self-confidence, and hence their ability to problem solve. This
in turn allows the senior team to improve their effectiveness.
STS has been taken up and proven with clients such P&G, PepsiCo, The Coca Cola Company,
BAT, Microsoft, IBM, Pfizer, BASF, and Toyota. Equally STS applies to smaller family-owned
businesses, non-profit organisations, and start-ups globally. In the last couple of years, STS has been
used for executive development programs at INSEAD. KCP team has the exclusive licence to use
STS in the Middle East and Pakistan and have successfully deployed this at many organisations in the
region. A collection of STS case studies and research on innovative thinking can be found here:

Phase I - Pre-Work
The objective of Phase I is to work with the Executive Sponsor to finalise the organisational challenge
to be solved, agenda and participants required for Phase II (2-day Simplexity Thinking Application
Session). The pre-work and communication plan for Phase II will also be finalised.
Basadur Innovation Profile, a key element of STS and an online inventory, helps people understand
their preferred thinking styles and enhances empathy, insight, and collaboration amongst teams so they
innovate effectively and sustainably.
Day 2:
1. The sub-teams are facilitated to use their creativity to generate solution ideas on their selected
sub-challenge.
2. Sub-teams evaluate, select, and share their best ideas creating a “master list”.
3. Sub-teams select the very best ideas from the master list (the “best of the best”).
4. Action plans are facilitated with the sub-teams which are presented back to the whole group and
the Executive Sponsor for their review and feedback. Follow-up process and cadence is agreed.
5. The session concludes with participant reflections and feedback and a group photo.
Participants will be trained on Simplexity Thinking process skills and tools including Challenge Mapping
and Telescoping Method and get to practice these over the two days.
Typically, the follow-up and implementation support include the following areas but is always
customised to meet client requirements:
Setting up a formal process and cadence for regular review of progress on action plans
and implementation roadmap
Assist the CEO in effectively facilitating progress review meetings with the Leadership Team
Train the team on a proven, world class methodology to help them identify gaps/misses
against the plan, determine root cause and develop counter measures to get back on track
Support the implementation team by providing continued support on best practices and
skills required for successful “Change Management” and “Project Execution”
Extend “one-to-one” coaching to members of Leadership Team, where needed, to help
them maximise their performance through enhancing their awareness (self/situational) and
making behavioural changes
PROGRAM STYLE:
The programme is fast pasted, thoughtful, interactive, creative, and centred on the participants gaining
personal insight from the content, the facilitator, and the other participants. Like all our programmes,
we seek to challenge and support the participants through exploring the key themes of the topics
covered, and to invite the participants to apply their own experience to the theory and methods
discussed.
