Aim of the Workshop:


The workshop is scheduled for two days. The first day aims to inform a wider group
of stakeholders on various aspects of carbon pricing. The second day provides further
technical insights in specific building blocks of an emissions trading system. This day
is for stakeholders that are already informed on the general aspects of carbon pricing,
The programme for day 2 will build on the programme of day 1.

The overall objective of the TRATOLOW –


Transition towards low emissions - is to contribute to climate change mitigation and
adaptation and the development towards a resource-efficient, low-emissions and
climate resilient economy in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*,
Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye. TRATOLOW supports the
Beneficiaries to build their capacity for the implementation of the 2015 Paris
Agreement and for the development of low emissions and climate resilient economies.
TRATOLOW enhances the regional exchange of information, best practices, peer-to-
peer reviews, experience and awareness-raising between the IPA II beneficiaries and
between IPA II beneficiaries and the Member States towards the implementation of
Beneficiaries' commitments under the Paris Agreement.

The EU4Energy project contributes to the fulfilment


of the obligation of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Energy Community Treaty,
Paris Agreement and other international obligations. It also contributes to the
establishment of a sustainable and competitive energy sector in line with demanding
environmental and climate requirements, which will improve overall country
economy and inevitably increase confidence in the energy sector for all market
participants.
