    Requirements for marking of fuel tanks

    IMPORTANT!

    • The vehicle’s fuel tanks must be clearly marked with stickers that show the re-
    quirements placed on the fuel.
    • The marking must not be obscured by bodywork or associated equipment. Adapt
    the bodywork or apply a new, clearly visible sticker.
    • When replacing fuel tanks, the new fuel tank must be marked.

    Legal requirements for vehicles sold in the EU


    According to the EU Directive 2014/94/EU, vehicles that are sold within the EU
    must have a marking that shows which fuel types the vehicle may be filled with. The
    legal requirement applies as of 2018-10-12. The marking must be located clearly vis-
    ible and close to the refuelling cap. More information is found under the heading Part
    information.

    The table shows the stickers that are recommended by Scania in order to meet the le-
    gal requirements according to EU Directive 2014/94/EU.

    Sticker with B7 and B10 2 618 193 Used on vehicles that must only be refuelled with 7% and10% biodiesel
    symbols. FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
    Used on vehicles equipped with WTA (auxiliary water heater) 3 kW or 6
    kW. The auxiliary heater gets fuel from the same fuel tank as the engine and
    cannot be run on XTL.
