Sample Profile Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Sample Profile Essay" can present a unique set of challenges.
First and foremost, this type of essay requires a keen observational skill set and the ability to capture
the essence of a person or subject in a written form. Unlike more straightforward essay formats, a
profile essay demands a delicate balance between providing objective information and infusing the
narrative with a personal touch to engage the reader.
One of the difficulties lies in striking the right tone throughout the essay. It's essential to avoid being
overly clinical or excessively sentimental. The writer needs to find that sweet spot where the
audience gains a genuine understanding of the subject while maintaining the integrity of the
information presented.
Moreover, the research process for a profile essay can be time-consuming. To create an accurate and
compelling portrayal, the writer must invest time in conducting interviews, gathering relevant
information, and immersing themselves in the subject's environment. This adds an extra layer of
complexity compared to essays that rely primarily on existing literature or personal opinions.
The challenge is not just in narrating facts but also in weaving them into a coherent and engaging
narrative. This requires a strong grasp of storytelling techniques, as the essay should read more like a
captivating story than a mere collection of data.
Despite the hurdles, the satisfaction of successfully conveying the essence of the profiled person or
subject is a rewarding aspect of writing this type of essay. It allows the writer to connect with the
audience on a deeper level, offering insights that go beyond mere facts and figures.

The fire ladders are well kept and are always ready to respond, I talk to some of the

in good shape when we look for services, hospitals, transportation, libraries, god

there is the lack of resources for our seniors, talking and trying to help my neighbor I

Kevin Plank Under Armour
Under Armour was started in 1995 by a man called Kevin Plank. A young college
graduate made it his goal to find a new kind of T shirt for athletes. Kevin found the
kind of fabric he was looking for, went to a tailor and had numerous prototypes made.
Kevin then handed these prototypes out to friends that he had known from playing
football for his a large portion of his life. His old teammates too these products, spread
the word and before Kevin knew it he was selling thousands of shirts to athletes all
around the world.

amazing there are some key things that Kevin had and used to his advantage. Primarily

In my opinion, without his past he wouldn t not have been successful. If some random
person walked up to these football players and offered them t shirts to wear, majority
of the players would have thrown it away like all the other free merchandise they get.
Due to the fact that Kevin had a relationship with the people that he gave the t shirts
away to allowed him to be able to get his product recognized. Kevin originally started
sending his prototypes away in pairs. Telling his old teammates take one for you and
one for the guy next to you. By doing this he allowed the relationship that his old
teammates had to establish one with their teammates and get his product furthermore
recognized. If you refer to Figure 1. You will see that originally Under Armour started
out with 5000 employees in 1996. In 2006 Under Armour s revenue was 431 Million
Dollars and by 2011 it was 1, 473 Million Dollars. In about 5 years Under Armour
increased their revenue by 1 Billion Dollars. From starting off selling T shirts in his
grandmothers basement to having his company worth Billions of dollars. Now while
these numbers might be impressive, something that is just as impressive is what Under
Armour continued to do. Looking at Figure 2. From Under Armour s CSR Report in
2013 you will see that they took that 1.473 billion from 2011 and two years later almost
doubled their revenues again. In 2013 Under Armour s
