ABOUT THE COMPANY


From a high school junior to 60 years old grandpa, everyone hears about Cadbury at
least once in a life. In the nineteenth century, the world introduced the first dairy milk
chocolate by Cadbury. But the company begins its journey way before that. Cadbury, a
British multinational confectionery company, was founded in 1824 in Birmingham.
Cadbury is the subsidiary of Mondelez International. It was founded in year 1824 by
John Cadbury. Headquarter of Cadbury is located in London, England. It offers various
products such as Crème Egg, Dairy Milk, beverages, biscuits, ice cream etc. It offers
the products in different countries like India, UK, New Zealand, Canada etc. Key
peoples of the firm are Irene Rosenfieldetc. One of the major aim of Cadbury is to
become the largest confectionery company in the world.
Today, this company have more than ten manufacturing plant in different countries and
operates in 30 more countries. The j doesn’t sell chocolate only, they have 12 distinct
brands. After mars, Cadbury is the second largest cookies manufacturing company in
the world.

Functions of HRM in Cadbury


Human Resource Department of Cadbury and the department plays a major role in
managing the human resource of the organization in effective and efficient way. Human
Manager is responsible for performing various types of functions of HRM. These are as
follows:
Managerial functions
Planning - One of the major function of HRM is planning. It includes determining
aims and objectives of the company and policies and programmes to achieve these
goals. Human Resource Manager of Cadbury is responsible for developing personnel
programmes that will help to realize mission and aims of the firm.
Organizing - After determining goals and objectives and plans for achieving
them, Human Resource Manager of Cadbury will develop structure of organization for
performing different operations. The structure will include assigning different jobs to
different individuals, delegating authority for completing the responsibilities that are
already assigned (Ellmer and Reichel, 2018).
Operative functions
Recruitment - One of the most important function of Human Resource
Department of any company is recruitment. It helps in recruiting right number and right
type of employees for filling vacant job positions in the organization. It also involves
induction and job placement of the workers. As a result it helps to achieve the goals of
the firm.
Training and development - After recruiting and selecting the candidates,
Manager of the company will provide adequate training to the staff for developing their
skills that are required to perform various tasks of the firm. This will help to achieve
individual as well as organizational goals. To provide proper training, Human Resource
Department of Cadbury will develop proper training programmes. So that, employees
will be able to use new tools and techniques for performing the work (Noe and et.al.,
2017).
Compensation - Human Resource Department of Cadbury is also responsible for
determining and providing adequate level of compensation to the staff for their work
performance. Manager will consider various factors before providing compensation such
as laws of Government requirement of the work, capacity of the firm, basic requirements
of the employees etc. Compensation should be equitable so that, it will not demotivate
the workers of the organization. And helps to improve motivation level and job
satisfaction level of the staff members.

HISTORY OF CENTURY PACIFIC FOOD, INC.
On October 25, 2013, Century Pacific Food, Inc. was incorporated as a subsidiary of
Century Pacific Group, Inc. (formerly Century Canning Corporation) to consolidate the
food manufacturing portfolio of the Century Pacific Group. It became listed on the
Philippine Stock Exchange on May 6, 2014. The parent company, Century Pacific
Group, Inc., was established by Ricardo S. Po, Sr. (1931–2021) on December 12, 1978
as Century Canning Corporation, whose primary business was the distribution and
sales of canned and processed fish products derived from tuna, sardines, and milkfish.

CENTURY PACIFIC ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Century Pacific Food, Inc. (CNPF) was incorporated on October 25, 2013. The
Company is primarily engaged in the business of buying and selling, processing,
canning, packaging, and manufacturing all kinds of food and food products. CNPF is a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Century Pacific Group, Inc.
The Company's current main business segments are the canned and processed
fish segment which produces tuna, sardines, and other fish and seafood-based
products; the canned meat segment which produces corned beef, meat loaf, luncheon
meat, and other meat-based products; the dairy and mixes segment which comprises of
evaporated milk, condensed milk, and other dairy products as well as coffee mixes and
flavor mixes; the tuna export segment which produces private label canned, pouched,
and frozen tuna products for export; and the coconut segment which produces retail-
packaged coconut water, organic virgin coconut oil, desiccated coconuts, coconut flour,
and coconut milk. Recognizable brands under these segments include "Century Tuna",
"555", "Argentina", and "Birch Tree", as well as emerging and challenger names such as

entered the chocomalt powdered milk segment by launching a new brand under the
dairy segment called "Choco Hero" as well as the pet food category through the
"Goodest" brand. In 2022, CNPF acquired Ligo, a legacy brand known for its range of
sardines and other marine products.
