Crafting an essay, especially one that serves as a pivotal component of a National Honor Society
(NHS) application, can be a formidable task. The challenge lies not only in presenting oneself in the
best possible light but also in seamlessly blending personal experiences, accomplishments, and
aspirations into a cohesive narrative.
First and foremost, there's the pressure of encapsulating your achievements and character within a
limited word count. The need to strike a delicate balance between showcasing your accomplishments
without sounding boastful and expressing humility without undermining your achievements adds an
extra layer of complexity. It's akin to walking a tightrope, delicately navigating between confidence
and modesty.
Moreover, the essay requires a deep self-reflection, demanding a profound understanding of one's
own strengths, weaknesses, and the impact of personal experiences on character development. This
process can be emotionally taxing as it prompts individuals to delve into their past, scrutinize their
actions, and discern the valuable lessons learned.
Additionally, the expectation to align personal values with the core principles of the NHS further
complicates the task. It demands not only an understanding of what the NHS represents but also the
ability to articulate how your values resonate with the organization's pillars of scholarship, leadership,
service, and character.
The challenge doesn't end with content alone. There's the meticulous process of drafting, revising,
and fine-tuning each sentence to ensure clarity, coherence, and a compelling narrative flow. Every
word becomes crucial, and the writer must be constantly mindful of the impact each sentence has on
the overall impression.
In essence, the process of composing an essay for an NHS application is a multifaceted challenge that
requires self-awareness, introspection, and the skill to communicate effectively. It's an intricate dance
of words and experiences, where the stakes are high, and the writer must skillfully navigate the thin
line between confidence and humility.

Virginia Woolf s The Death Of A Moth
In the paper Thoughts on Woolf s The Death of a Moth, the author gives their thoughts
on the quality of the short story and Virginia Woolf in general. Throughout their paper,
the author analyzes specific points in the short story and shares their own
interpretations as well as criticisms of these excerpts. All of the comments they give
are positive which slowly hinders the reliability of their analysis. The author closes by
looking back at the short story and reflecting on the choices Woolf made. By the end of
the paper it is clear to see that the author has no bad comments of Woolf and only has
praises. In the beginning of this paper the author opens up by explaining how an
encounter with a fly reminded them of Woolf s story. They mention very early that they
love the way that Woolf is able to connect the observations of the narrator and the natural
world (Thoughts). This use of such a strong word, love, immediately... Show more

In this paper, the author seems to have a tone full of praise and love for Woolf. They
are not angry or sarcastic; they seem to be writing about a topic they truly love and
admire. This is understandable considering the high quality of Woolf s work.
Nonetheless, the purpose of this paper is an analysis and the author is too clearly
biased for their analysis to be considered reliable. When the author explains the shift in
Woolf s tone in her short story, they mention how much they admire Woolf s work and
style (Thoughts). This is just one example of where the author s tone is all positive.
Real criticism just cannot be found anywhere in this paper. The author of this work is
constantly praising Woolf, with comments such as how Woolf has vivid descriptions and
flowing language (Thoughts). Through words such as these, the loving tone of the
author is revealed. Due to the overly praiseful tone of this paper, the author s analysis
becomes weak and
Christian Louboutin s Product Is High Heels With Red...
Christian Louboutin s featured product is high heels with red soles. The red color,
Pantone 18 1663 TX, was chosen because red means love, passion, and blood. The red
soles are also protected as a trademark in several countries. All of his shoe products
have red soles, regardless if they are products for men or women. In addition to shoes,
Christian Louboutin has a handbag and cosmetic line that encompass the trademarked
sky high heels and red soles. His handbags have the red color in the linings of the bags
and they rest upon a pedestal of 4 mini metal heels, so that it may never touches the floor.
From the cosmetic line, Louboutin introduced nail polishes within bottles that are shaped
like heels. The bottles are 8 inches in height, and replicate the tallest heel Christian
Louboutin ever created, the Ballerina Ultima. Christian Louboutin has been offered other
deals outside of shoes, handbags, and cosmetic lines, but he has turned them all down so
his name cannot be licensed.
Diesel engine exhaust gas emissions and particulate matters have been a serious
environmental problem for a long time. Many research have been made in order to
reduce these emissions since the usage of diesel engines came into large. Major
emissions from the diesel exhaust are NOx, SOx, CO and Particulate Matters. Amongst
these SOx, CO and Particulate matters can be reduced by using after treatment methods
like Catalytic Reduction, etc. Unlike these NOx reduction is a challenging issue. In this
project various types of technologies which are used till now to reduce NOx ¬has been

INTRODUCTION
Usage of diesel engine in automobiles is increasing worldwide because of its high fuel
efficiency. As the usage increases, the emissions from the exhaust gases also increases
which affects the atmosphere, thereby causing environmental issues such as global
warming, smog and even acid rain. These emissions are mainly due to non stoichiometric
combustion, dissociation of Nitrogen and impurities in the fuel and air mixture. Major
emissions include Oxides of Nitrogen, Oxides of Sulphur, unburnt Hydrocarbons, oxides
of carbon and other carbon particles or soot. Significant measures are taken by the
automotive industries for several years to reduces the intensity of these exhaust gases.
There are two ways of reducing these exhaust gases are
i)Primary methods in which the exhaust gases are reducing within the combustion
chamber. ii) Secondary methods or after
The Round House By Louise Erdrich
The book The Round House, by Louise Erdrich was a very interesting and fascinating
story. I really enjoyed every chapter and learnt a lot from each chapter I read. One
amazing part of this book was the connection it had with previous stories we had read
throughout the class. I can say that Louise Eldritch did a great job with this book,
because it is a kind one can get addicted to. From the beginning of the book to the end,
it was enveloped with Politics, injustice, race, superstition and religion. The book was
all about crime and justice that a 13 year old Ojibwe boy, Joe, experienced. Joe was
sometimes called Oops. Joe and his familylived in an Indian reservationin North Dakota,
where Indian law reigns sovereign and poverty runs rampant. Throughout the story we
saw Joe and his friends set out to unveil the truth and restore justice with or without the
help of the law of the country after his mother was violently raped. Throughout the
story it was really difficult to pick one character to write about since Louise Erdrich
made each character interesting to read and write about However I managed to pick
one among these appealing characters. The character i chose to write on is the main
character, Joe Coutts. Joe Coutts was the son of Judge Bazil Coutts and Geraldine
Coutts. Joe s life was shattered at the age of thirteen after his mother was attacked and
raped by a man who, from the smell of gasoline on her, obviously proved his intension to
kill her. She survived,
