Persuasive Essay On Recycling

Writing a persuasive essay on recycling can be both challenging and rewarding. On one hand, the
importance of recycling is well-established, and there is a plethora of information available on the
positive impact it can have on the environment. However, crafting a compelling argument that not
only persuades but also engages the reader requires careful consideration of various aspects.

Firstly, research plays a crucial role in building a strong foundation for the essay. It's essential to
gather reliable and up-to-date information about the benefits of recycling, environmental
consequences of not recycling, and success stories from communities that have implemented
effective recycling programs. This step alone can be time-consuming, as finding credible sources and
sorting through data requires diligence.

Structuring the essay poses another challenge. A persuasive essay typically follows a clear structure
with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each section needs to flow seamlessly,
presenting arguments in a logical progression. Finding the right balance between facts, statistics, and
emotional appeal is essential to capture the reader's attention and maintain their interest throughout
the essay.

Additionally, addressing counterarguments is a crucial aspect of persuasive writing. Anticipating and

refuting opposing viewpoints demonstrates a thorough understanding of the topic and enhances the
credibility of the essay. This requires careful consideration of potential objections and a thoughtful
response to each.

The language used in a persuasive essay should be compelling and impactful. Crafting persuasive and
eloquent prose is an art in itself. The writer must choose words carefully to convey the urgency and
significance of the recycling issue. Striking the right tone, whether it's a call to action, an appeal to
emotions, or a presentation of hard facts, is essential for the overall effectiveness of the essay.

In conclusion, writing a persuasive essay on recycling involves extensive research, careful structuring,
addressing counterarguments, and employing persuasive language. It's a task that requires a balance
of logical reasoning and emotional appeal to effectively convince the reader of the importance of
recycling. For those seeking assistance with similar essays or any other academic writing, various

Understanding The Silent Killer, The Hepatitis C Virus
Hepatitis C Research Paper

Hepatitis C Research Paper
This research paper is going to review today s silent killer, the Hepatitis C virus. This
paper will talk about the description of the disease, the signs and symptoms, the
etiology and risk factors, diagnostic studies, treatments and prognosis of this disease. I
had lived with this disease for over ten years before diagnosed so it is important to
understand the signs and symptoms so the disease can be identified and a treatment plan
can be identified as the sooner it is treated the more likely it will eradicate the disease.

Some of the other risk factors include working in the health care environment, injecting
illegal drugs, or sharing articles of person hygiene with an infected person, or sexual
transmission with an infected person. If the disease continues to progress it can lead to
cirrhosis of the liver or liver failure and may require a transplant of the liver.
I contracted the disease by sexual transmission as my ex husband had the disease. The
likelihood of contracting the disease in this fashion is very rare but it does happen.
Diagnostic Studies
There are two different main types of diagnostic testing that can be done to determine
if the Hepatitis C virus is present in your body. The Hepatitis C Antibody test is a
screening test ordered by your physician that will show if you have ever been exposed
to the virus in your lifetime. This test detects antibodies that your body would have
formed in order to fight off the Hepatitis C virus.
The other kind of test is called the Hepatitis C RNA Qualitative test. This test determines
if the virus is currently present in your body. This is the test that is used most often to
detect the virus. A positive test result indicates that you have Hepatitis C. A negative
result will indicate that the virus is undetected. This could mean that even though your
body may have been exposed to the virus it was able to fight the disease

Analysis Of The Criticisms Of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Discuss some of the criticisms of cognitive behavioural therapy? Cognitive behavioural
therapy is one of the youngest of todays popular psychotherapies that teaches clients to be
their own therapist. It is a cognitive approach to modifying human behaviour, developed
by A. Beck and A. Ellis. The ultimate goal of cognitive therapy is therefore the client
becoming their own therapist, without the help of a trained therapist, and for them to
subsequently deal with their illness using the techniques they have been taught (Beck
1985). It includes self help techniques that focus on the problems of the individual and
symptoms that they experience, it requires structured sessions with a psychologist and it
involves confronting emotions. This therapy... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
the depression has won. Most people have trouble accepting their feelings, especially
feelings related to grief (Davidson and Neale 2001) the individuals emotional state of
being must be considered when taking part in cognitive behavioural therapy. In some
cases of stress where a patient has suffered a loss which has left them devastated, asking
the patient to be rational under such circumstances would be inappropriate and also
difficult for them to do. This is similar to addiction denial, some clients may deny that
they have an addiction and are only attending therapy due to pressure from family
friends etc. Refusing acceptance can reinforce difficulties and intensify negative
feelings, if the client doesn t choose to accept their illness it can be hard to move, not
accepting their illness means they will be reluctant to try and find solutions. A similar
issue to this is the Pollyanna problem, can you learn to think healthfully . Does cognitive
behavioural therapy focus on forgetting the problems rather than treating them, If a client
doesn t believe the therapy will work they will be less inclined to try. Cognitive
behavioural therapy is very time consuming and requires commitment and cooperation to
increase the probability of success. In relation to this research has reported therapy didn t

Rome And Carthage In The Second Punic War
Introduction
The first things we can look at about Rome and Carthage is Rome s citizens and
Carthage s wealth. We can draw conclusions from these and begin to compare both. One
of the prominent things about Rome was its hand to hand combat skills of its soldiers.
Rome was not originally a navy, but had to become a naval power to take on Carthage.
Before Rome ever faced Hannibal in the second Punic war (B.C.218 201) it faced
Carthage in the first Punic war (B.C. 264 241) and had fewer losses than it did in the
Second Punic war. We can examine what Carthage s advantages were, and what Rome s
disadvantages were (Morey, 1901).
I
Rome had to build a navy to be equal to Carthage in the First Punic war (B.C. 264
241). There was an event that Carthage was using the sea to make its business with
other cities. Rome was not a naval power like Carthage. Rome did not have that access
to the sea that would guarantee supremacy. That s why the Romans decided not to
surrender to the circumstances so they could pursue Carthage and make an impact on its
sea business ventures. Carthage was the world s first naval power, according to
(Morey,1901) and Rome was its rival. Rome ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rome was good at making comebacks. Carthage was good at staying in the lead. They
both were respected by other cities. They could both use the cities to their advantage.
Why would they not want to face off as they were threatening to one another? I believe
it was Rome who was threatened by Carthage especially. (Morey,1901) Declares that
Rome was alarmed as she saw Carthage s territory extending north, Rome s rival . Most
importantly, it was the conquests of the Carthaginians that made Rome stay on track and
keep pace with them. They wanted what Carthage was doing. Carthage was conquering.
Carthage was becoming greater. Rome decided to pursue their victories over Carthage
the only way it could in the First Punic wars (B.C.
Financial Leverage and Capital Structure Policy
CHAPTER 16
FINANCIAL LEVERAGE AND CAPITAL STRUCTURE POLICY

Answers to Concepts Review and Critical Thinking Questions

1.Business risk is the equity risk arising from the nature of the firm s operating activity,
and is directly related to the systematic risk of the firm s assets. Financial risk is the
equity risk that is due entirely to the firm s chosen capital structure. As financial leverage,
or the use of debt financing, increases, so does financial risk and, hence, the overall risk
of the equity. Thus, Firm B could have a higher cost of equity if it uses greater leverage.

2.No, it doesn t follow. While it is true that the equity and debt costs are rising, the key

Share price = Equity / Shares outstanding Share price = $250,000/5,000 Share price = $50

Shares repurchased = Debt issued / Share price Shares repurchased =$90,000/$50 Shares

The interest payment each year under all three scenarios will be:

Interest payment = $90,000(.07) = $6,300

struggled together and helped each other become better writers. The WebEx meeting
began with some information about the feedback from our IRP 2 research paper. Dr.

She explained the timeline and told us how we could use it (and the other resources) for

historical part of our research writing, we need to use formal writing and not inject our
opinions. Then in the teaching strategies and conclusion part we can
