In the first lecture, we also reviewed the consumer behavior purchasing processes in
influenced by many factors. A marketer should try to understand the factors that
influence consumer behavior. Accroding to research these factors that impact the way
consumers think and behave are categorized as: (1) Culture (2) Social Factors (3)
Demographic Factors (4) Psychological Factors
• Illustrate how these factors can impact the consumer buying process that you
mentioned above.
A person’s culture has a huge influence on their thought processes and behaviors.
Because it’s so influential on how people perceive the world around them, their place in
it, and how they make decisions, it tends to play a role in determining how and why we
consume goods and services.
• Give example of the cultural elements that marketers need to know about
Egyptian in order to create their marketing mix. Give illustrations of actual MNCs
products, promotion, price, place, etc. that was developed and altered to suit the
Egyptian market.
