adolescents spending more 2 hours per day in front of the television. Factors examined
included family structure, opportunities to watch television/video/DVDs, perceptions of
rules and regulations on television viewing, and television viewing practices.

Statistical Treatment of Data

The statistical measure that might be adopted will be as follows:

Frequency Distribution. This tool might be use in this study to determine the level of awareness
of first year students of Batangas State University -Balayan in terms of language and scene and how it
affects their behavior in terms of attitude and interest. (frequency distribution is an organized tabulation/graphical
representation of the number of individuals in each category on the scale of measurement. It allows the researcher to have a glance at the entire
data conveniently.) SOP 3
Percentage. This might be use in this study to determine the number of respondents in each
category and to determine the profile of the respondents. (SOP1)
Weighted Mean. This method might be use to determine and interpret data from respondent’s
comment on level if awareness in movies and television from the items in the questionnaire given in this
study. (SOP 2)
Ranking. Might be use to analyze the data gathered, the researcher will rank them. By means of
ranking, they might be able to know the position of the items based on the answers of the respondents.
Independent t-test. This might be used to determine the significance differences of the responses
of respondents. (SOP4)
Pearson r Correlation. This might be use to tell the relationship between profile of the
respondents and the level of awareness on indecent movies and television shows and its impact to the
behavior of the students. (Pearson's correlation coefficient is the test statistics that measures the statistical relationship, or association,
between two continuous variables) (SOP5 and SOP6)
One-way Annova. This might be use to determine the significance difference of the responses of
respondents. (The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used to determine whether there are any statistically significant differences
between the means of three or more independent (unrelated) groups.) (SOP 4)
Scale Interval. This might be use in this study to tell the weighted mean in interpreting the
results by the respondents. The researcher will provide the scale interval with their corresponding verbal
interpretation. (The interval scale is a quantitative measurement scale where there is order, the difference between the two variables is
meaningful and equal, and the presence of zero is arbitrary)
