Note* - All materials can be exchanged for shop scraps and available materials. Only
suggestions is a dense hardwood on the side grain for the runner. It should expand up and
down not side to side.

Layout & Pre-Drill For Runner

Layout the position of your runner on the bottom of your base (A). Then add some
overhang to cut the miter edge at 45*. For my saw this measurement is 6 1/2”.

Predrill from the top to attach


the rail (B). Use a countersink
bit and fasten by hand using a
8"

screw driver. Be sure to not


over tighten or strip the MDF.

Once the rail is attached in the


proper location. Go ahead and run
the whole bottom panel through the
saw with the miter at 45* and mark
the front and back. This will make it
easier for the next step.

Pre drill the bottom of the sled in order to mount the front and back supports. I start by
mounting the back with a 1/2” gap to the edge, using 1- 1/4” screws and the same for the
front. I mount the front flush
