EYE BROW THREADING

Threading is an ancient method of hair removal originating in India.[1] In
more recent times it has gained popularity in Western countries.

In threading, a thin (cotton or polyester) thread is doubled, then twisted. It

is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level.
Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can
remove short lines of hair.

Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, are that it
provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is more gentle on the skin.
It can be painful as several hairs are removed at once: however this can be
minimized if it is done professionally.

There are a few different techniques for threading. These include the hand method,
mouth method and neck. Each technique has advantages and disadvantages;
however, the mouth holding method is the fastest and most precise.

Things Required

 Thread No:40
 Powder
 Scissors
 Brush

Method

 Held the thread firmly in your left hand by rolling one and of the
thread in the Index finger and other end of the thread in the thumb.
 Insert right hand in the other side of the thread and just rotate the
right hand with the thread for 5 – 6 times in the upward to downward
direction.
 Now it looks like a scissors.
 Just place the thread on the eyebrow and remove the unwanted hair.
(extra hair).

18
 The thread in the hair plucks away extra hair by forming a knot on the
hair.
 While during eyebrows by holding the thread tightly the pain will be
less.
 We should shape the eyebrows based on the face structure.
 Things to be noticed before doing eyebrows:-
 First of all. We have to consider the distance between the eyes the two
eyebrows.
 If the distance between two eyes is more then there should be less
distance between the eyebrows and vice versa.
 Threading should be done with the inner side as thicker and outside as
thinner.
 If the eyebrow appear as covering at the inner side trim it upwards.
People with little thickness by doing threading continuously.
 We can improve the beauty of our face by doing eyebrow threading in
a proper way. we should apply powder before along eyebrow.
 Extra long hair should be trimmed with the help of a long scissors.
 We should shape the eyebrows starting from the inner side.
 We should remove the extra hair only after shaping the eyebrows.
 For those people who have straight eyebrows do the threading just as
a lift in upward.

How to Shape Eyebrows

The shape of your eyebrows can enhance your appearance by
flattering your facial shape, balancing your features, and framing your eyes.
If you have thick, full eyebrows, you might need to tweeze them; if you
have thin, small eyebrows, you may need to fill them in with a pencil. Either
way, here is how to find a shape that's flattering to any face.

METHOD 1 OF 2: DETERMINE YOUR IDEAL SHAPE

Determine where your inner brow should end
Hold a straight edge, such as an eyebrow pencil or a ruler, vertically in
front of your face.

19
 Line it up so that it touches the outermost of edge your nose and the
inside of your eye. This line will determine where your eyebrow should
start.
 Mark that spot with an eyebrow pencil. Repeat for the other eye.

Determine where your arch should peak

Angle the straight edge so that it lines up with the outermost edge of
your nose and the outermost edge of your iris.
 It's very important that you look straight ahead — both your face and
your eyes should be looking directly forward at the mirror.
 Wherever the line intersects your eyebrow is where the peak of your arch
should begin at the top border of the eyebrow.
 Mark that spot with your eyebrow pencil.
 Repeat for the other eye.

Determine where your outer brow should end.

Angle the straight edge further so that it touches the outermost edge of
your nose and also passes along the outermost edge of your eye.
 This tells you where the eyebrow should end. Mark this point with your
eyebrow pencil.
 Repeat with the other eye.
 Your eyebrows should be 1/4 - /1/2 inch (0.5 to 1 cm) at their thickest.
 Pluck minimally above the brow — you want to retain your brow's natural
arch. Only tweeze stray hairs.
 If plucking isn't your thing, try shaping without it.
 If your brows are sensitive, use ice to numb the areas before you tweeze.

20
CONSIDER YOUR FACE SHAPE.
Certain brows better compliment specific face shapes.
 To minimize the curve of a round face, direct the outer third of the brow
towards the top of the ear.
 If the face is square, direct it toward the middle of the ear. This helps
balance the face.
 If the face is long, keep the brow more straight across, directing it above
the ear.
An oval face already looks balanced, but to enhance this harmony, you can
direct the outer third towards the ear lobe.

HAIR CARE
Definition
Hair whose texture hasn't been altered by chemical straighteners,
including relaxers and texturizers. An Afro hairstyle is sometimes referred to as "a
natural," but natural black hair can be worn in many other styles besides a short
'fro. Pressed hair may still be considered natural because once washed, the texture
returns to its unaltered state. Colored hair is sometimes considered natural,
sometimes not, depending on who does the defining some people believe that
repeated hair coloring alters the texture, even in a slight manner.
