SCHOOL OUTREACH OUTLINES 3rd Term 2021-2022
A king is one who rules over a certain people. He has authority over them in every way. He gives commands
and receives obedience to such commands. He controls the affairs of the people politically, socially and
economically. In some cultures of the world, the kingship is hereditary, while in others it is by selection of a
successor. The Bible has records of a lot of kings and the period when they reign. One of the first recorded
kings mentioned in the Bible was called Nimrod (Genesis 10:8-12). After him, we have had many other kings.
These kings and their kingdom lasted just for a while. There is no king that rules and reigns forever. Therefore,
we can never compare the kings of the earth with the kingship of Jesus Christ. He is the King of kings, who
reigns over all the earth and His reign is everlasting. His kingdom does not have an end. Who do you choose
to follow, the temporal king of this earth or Jesus the King of kings? The study is in three parts:
1.THE LIMITED POWER OF EARTHLY KINGS: Psalm 2:2, II Kings 24:1; Exodus 5:1-3; Luke 3:1-2.
The kings of this world come to reign over their people for some specific period, die and their kingdoms
ends just like that. Their reign is not forever, so also is their life. Examples of such kings who reigned over
their people with limited power were: (1) Pharaoh, the king of Egypt (Exodus 5:1-2). He was a wicked king
who made the people of God to suffer. He eventually perished in the red sea. (2) King Saul, the first king of
Israel. He stopped following God. He died in a strange land (I Samuel 16:1). (3) King David (Psalm 27:4), he
served God with a perfect heart. God honoured him. (4) King Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. He was
proud and God punished him (Daniel 4:28-34). (5) King Herod (Luke 2:13-16). He was an enemy of God. He
came under the judgement of God and he was eaten up by worms.
These kings reigned over just a particular area of land and community of people. Some of them did well
while many were proud, wicked and worshipped idols. They are ordinary human beings who have limited
power. They are not to be worshipped. Jesus is the only King that deserves our worship and honour.
3. THE BLESSINGS OF ACCEPTING THE KING OF KINGS: Matthew 11:28-30; John 1:12;
John 12:12-16.
The King of kings came to this world to save everyone including you. The Bible clearly stated that “as
many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe
on his name:” (John 1:12). Let Jesus come and reign in your heart.
There are many blessings for all who accept Jesus the King of kings (i) Salvation from sin (ii) Victory over
satan (iii) Protection from all evil (iv) Provision from God (v) Answer to prayers (vi) Wisdom and knowledge
of God and (vii) Everlasting life in heaven. These blessings are not for sinners but for friends of Jesus only.
For you to receive these blessings, you must stop doing bad things and let Jesus the King of kings rule and
reign in your life.
QUESTIONS:
1. Who is a king?
2. The kings of this earth have limited power. Yes/No?
3. Who is the King of kings?
4. Jesus as King of kings have power over ___________________, ______________ and _______________
4. What steps should a sinner take for the King of kings to reign in his heart?
MEMORY VERSE: “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS,
AND Lord OF Lords.” (Revelation 19:16).

JESUS IS COMING SOON
Revelation 22:10-21.
This present time, is often referred to as the last days. This is because of the things that are now
happening around us. They confirm all the things that the Bible said would happen when Jesus is about
to come. All the signs concerning the second coming of Christ can be seen all around us. There are clear
facts which shows that the coming of the Lord is very near. Sinners in and outside the church, backsliders,
careless and lukewarm Christians will be left behind during His second coming. Knowing that these things
shall soon come to pass, what manner of persons ought believers to be? (II Peter 3:11). The study is in
three parts:
QUESTIONS:
1. The second coming of Christ is very near. Yes/No?
2. What did Jesus promise His friends in John 14:1-3?
3. Mention three of the purposes of Jesus’ second coming.
4. How should (a) sinners and backsliders (b) friends of Jesus prepare for His second
coming?
MEMORY VERSE: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man
according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12).

HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
Acts 19:1-7; 1:8; 2:1-4
The primary purpose of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the receiving of power to preach the
gospel so that the lost will be won over to Jesus and taught to obey all that Christ commanded.
Paul’s question in our text refers to the baptism in the Holy Spirit for power and ministry, the
same as that which happened at Pentecost. However, a person must be born again and
sanctified before he can receive the Holy Ghost baptism.
The message is divided into three:
QUESTIONS:
1. Only born-again friends of Jesus can receive the Holy Spirit. Yes/No?
2. Mention three reasons why friends of Jesus need the Holy Spirit baptism.
3. What are the steps to receiving the Holy Ghost?
4. What must a sinner do to receive the Holy Ghost?
5. Have you received the Holy Ghost?
MEMORY VERSE: “And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came
on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.” (Acts 19:6).

STANDING FOR THE TRUTH
Jude 1-4
Bola was the only Christian child among her other brothers and sisters in her family. She always
desired to obey God’s words in every way; yet her brothers and sisters would not stop
disturbing her. They would make jest of and laugh at her while she was praying. They used bad
language on her. Even her parents were not left out in the persecution. Sometimes, they would
beat Bola and disallow her from attending church fellowship. Bola was not moved by all her
persecutions. She always prayed that God would save all the members of her family. She
refused to disobey God’s words. One day, her mother heard a message through the radio about
the rapture. She was touched and through that message, she repented and became a Christian.
Through her, other members of the family became born-again. This happened because Bola
stood for the truth. The study is divided into three parts.
2. HOW TO STAND FOR THE TRUTH: Jude 3; Philippians 1:27; II Timothy 1:13
As a Christian child, Jesus expects you to stand for the truth even in times of suffering,
confusion and in the presence of false and wicked teachers. To stand for the truth, you need
to: (i) Be obedient to God’s word as it is in the Bible. (ii) Be prayerful and be in fellowship with
those who truly love God’s words. (iii) Read God’s word, recite it by heart, think on it and live
by it. (iv) Do not listen to false teachers and jesters. (v) Preach God’s love to sinners and
backsliders.
QUESTIONS:
1. What was the result of Bola’s action in her family?
2. Who is the Truth?
3. Standing for the truth means_____________________________________________
4. How can a Christian child stand for the truth?
5. How can a sinful child have the ‘Truth’ in his heart?
MEMORY VERSE: “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common
salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should
earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3).
STUDY 191 | SCHOOL OUTREACH OUTLINE
PRAYING FOR OUR COUNTRY
Psalm 122:6; 2 Chronicles 7:14; I Timothy 2: 1-4.
This is a very important study because it is an essential duty for every friend of Jesus. Prayer is talking
to God. It is an act whereby a child makes his request known to God and desires an answer to his
request. As friends of Jesus, we are commanded to pray for all men and also for our nation. A lot of
people complain and do not pray when things go wrong in their country. This does not please God. He
wants us to pray for our nation and those in authority. We are not to murmur, complain, gossip or cut
them down with unkind words. God wants us to pray for our nation from a pure and holy heart. When
we do so, He will heal our land, guide our leaders and bring peace, prosperity, holiness and abundant
blessings upon our nation. The message is divided into three parts:
2. GODLY CHARACTER OF THE PRAYING CHILD: Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 66:18; 1 Timothy 2:8.
God wants us to pray but we must not pray with sin in our hearts. If we remove iniquity from our
lives, God will answer our prayers. Iniquities are the bad things that we do such as: stealing, keeping
malice, fighting, telling lies, being disobedient, watching ungodly films and dirty pictures, abusing people
etc. Sin separates us from God and hinders us from receiving answers when we pray (Isaiah 59: 1-2).
If you want God to answer your prayers, then you must repent of all your sins. God will always answer
the prayer of a child who has given his life to Jesus and is living a holy life.
If you are still a sinner, repent today of your sins and give your life to Jesus. As Josiah was used
of God to bring righteousness to Israel, so also God will use you as “the godly praying child” to bring
down His glory upon our nation.
QUESTIONS:
1. What is prayer?
2. God commands us to pray for our nation. Yes/No?
3. What should a sinful child do for his prayers to be effective?
4. Mention some prayer points for our nation.
5. Mention some of the blessings that will come upon our nation when we pray.
MEMORY VERSE: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and
seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
STUDY 192 | SCHOOL OUTREACH OUTLINE
Holiness means purity of heart. It also means to have a heart that is completely free from sin. A child
that is holy is gentle, truthful, pure in heart and character. The Bible commands us to follow peace
with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Our God
is holy, pure and perfect. There is no uncleanness in God. As God’s children, we are commanded to be
holy because God is holy (I Peter 1:16). Holiness, according to the Bible is also referred to as -
sanctification, righteousness, circumcision of heart, perfection (Matthew 5:48). Holiness is the very
nature of God and an important experience that every true friend of Jesus must possess.
The study is divided into three parts:
QUESTIONS:
1. What is holiness?
2. Mention five fruits of holiness.
3. How can a child be holy?
4. Mention two other names for holiness.
5. Can a sinful child receive the blessings of holiness?
MEMORY VERSE: “And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
(Colossians 3:14).

PUNISHMENT FOR FALSE TEACHERS
Jude 1:5-15
‘False’ simply means something that is untrue. The opposite of true is false. In your examination or test
questions, you often see true/false as options to choose from. Therefore, when something is not true, it
must be false. In our study today, we are looking at a set of people known as false teachers. They are
the opposite of true teachers who show us the way of light. Anyone that is a false teacher or any child
who follows false teachers is under God’s punishment. This study will serve to warn you so that you can
escape the punishment of God.
QUESTIONS:
1. False means ____________________________________________________________________
2. Who are false teachers?
3. Mention three things which they commonly do.
4. There is punishment for false teachers. Yes/No?
5. How can a child who has been deceived by false teachers be free?
MEMORY VERSE: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15).
STUDY 194 | SCHOOL OUTREACH OUTLINE
CHARACTERISTICS OF FALSE TEACHERS
Jude 8, 16-19
In our previous Bible Study, we discussed about false teachers and how to avoid them. The question
then that may come to your mind is, why are we so concerned about false teachers? The answer is
in I Timothy 4:1-2. We are in the last days as stated in the Bible. There are many false teachings
all around us and that is why we need to know everything about them so as not to be deceived and
fall into their trap. The end of false teachers and their followers is hell fire. Therefore, you must
beware and avoid them at all cost. The study is in three parts.
3. THE END OF FALSE TEACHERS: Jeremiah 14:14-16; Ezekiel 13:1-10; Matthew 7:19; Jude 15
False teachers are likened to a bad tree. A tree that does not bring up good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into fire and burnt. False teachers and their followers will have their portion in hell fire.
In the same manner, boys and girls who follow these false teachers will experience the following:
(i) They will not have peace, in their heart. (ii) They will not be successful. (iii) They will backslide
and be following the way of the world (iv) They will lose favour with God (v) Their prayers will not
be answered. And if they refuse to repent, they will go to hell fire where they will never see Jesus
and will be tormented forever.
If you are a friend of false teachers or you listen to them, Jesus is calling you today, and is
telling you to repent and come back to Him. Stand up now and ask Jesus to forgive you. Tell Him
you will not follow false teachers again. Henceforth, flee from false teachers, they are deceivers!
QUESTIONS:
1. Who is a false teacher?
2. Mention three characteristics of false teachers.
3. Will false teachers go to heaven? Yes/No?
4. Mention two things that will happen to children who follow, listen and make friends
with false teachers.
MEMORY VERSE: “These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and
their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because
of advantage” (Jude 16).

DANIEL AND HIS FRIENDS: EXAMPLES OF COURAGE
AND OBEDIENCE
Daniel 1:3-19; 3:1-30; 6:1-28.
Daniel and his three friends were Hebrew children. They are of the king’s seeds taken as slaves
from Judah to the land of Babylon.
When they were brought to the land of Babylon their names were changed from: (i) Daniel
to Belteshazzar (ii) Hananiah to Shadrach (iii) Mishael to Meshach (iv) Azariah to Abednego. The
king of Babylon was able to change their names but he could not change their character and love
for God. These Hebrew children showed uncommon example of courage and obedience even in a
strange land. The topic shall be considered under three sub topics:
3. LESSONS AND REWARDS FOR COURAGE AND OBEDIENCE: Daniel 1:8,15,20; 3:30
There are many lessons you can learn from these Hebrew children, to make you victorious
and shine for Christ. (i) You must be disciplined and be able to control yourself. (ii) You must pray
daily like Daniel. (iii) The friends you keep determines what your life and future will be, therefore,
keep good and godly friends. (iv) God defends and protects people who obey and honour Him. (v)
You need to be courageous and determined to obey God and be victorious in this evil world. (vi)
Obedience to the word of God brings blessings and glory to God.
These are some of the rewards for all who follow the example of Daniel and his three friends:
(i) Protection (ii) Promotion (iii) Provision (iv) Answers to prayers (v) Power to overcome your
enemies. Above all, you will live with Jesus in heaven forever. These rewards are only for friends of
Jesus. Pray that God will make you to be like Daniel and his three friends.
QUESTIONS:
1. Define discipline and obedience.
2. What were the new names given to the four Hebrew boys?
3. Mention 4 things that you have learnt from their courageous act and obedient life.
4. What must a sinful child do to have courage and obedience like the Hebrew children?
MEMORY VERSE: “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning
fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto
thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou
hast set up” (Daniel 3:17-18).
STUDY 196 | SCHOOL OUTREACH OUTLINE
The book of Philippians was written by Apostle Paul to all the saints in Philippi. He focused on making
them to discover the joy of living for Christ. ‘All for Christ’ means giving all for the sake of possessing
Christ, at any given time and in every situation. From the moment he became saved, Paul resolved
to follow Christ, do His work and get to heaven at last. He counted all his knowledge of the law and
attainment in religion as nothing to be compared with following Jesus till the end. None of your
good works can save you except you give your life to Jesus Christ and surrender all on the altar for
Him. Our study is divided into three parts:
1. JESUS OUR ALL IN ALL: Isaiah 53:4-6; John 3:16; Colossians 2:9,10
Jesus is our perfect example. He gave all for mankind. He died on the cross at Calvary to save
us from sin and eternal damnation. He is our Saviour, sanctifier, power, healer, provider; indeed
He is our all in all. No wonder, the song writer says “All That I Need Is In Jesus, He Satisfies, Joy
He Supplies”. Have you given your life to Jesus Christ? If not, you need to do so because life will be
worthless without Him. What you desire is what you will acquire. Just as simple as ABC: Admit,
Believe and Confess your sins to Him. Ask Him to forgive and cleanse you with His blood. All that
you need is in Jesus Christ. Accept Him today and surrender to Him.
3. BLESSINGS OF GIVING ALL FOR CHRIST: Matthew 19:28,29; John 3:16; 10:10
The first and most important thing that God demands from you is your life. Have you given
your life to Christ? If not, repent, confess and accept Him as Lord and Saviour today. Then you can
begin to give all other things to Him.
When you willingly give all to Christ and count all other things as nothing, God will bless you
abundantly. You will have: (i) unspeakable joy (ii) peace (iii) success (iv) protection and perfect
health (v) answers to your prayers (vi) abundant life (vii) everlasting life with Jesus in heaven. Have
you given your all for Jesus? Rise up and pray.
QUESTIONS:
1. _______________________ is our all in all.
2. Can our good work save us?
3. Mention three things you can surrender to Christ.
4. Mention four blessings you will receive when you give all for Christ.
5. Have your given your life to Christ?
MEMORY VERSE: “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.”
(Philippians 3:7).

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
Psalm 23:1-6; John 10:11-16.
The Fulanis live in the Northern part of Nigeria and their main occupation is cattle rearing (taking
care of cows). They have plenty of cows and take care of them whenever they are sick. During the
dry season, the Fulanis usually take their cows through a long journey to find fresh grasses for
them. They even care for the cows more than themselves. The Fulanis are examples of shepherds.
David, the writer of Psalm 23 was a shepherd boy caring for his father’s sheep on the farm. One
day, as David was caring for the sheep, a bear and a lion came to kill some of the sheep. David did
not run away; he protected the sheep and killed the lion and the bear. His action proved that he
was a good shepherd. David recognised God as his Shepherd who cared for him just as he cared
for his father’s sheep. He had confidence in God. If you trust God, He will take care of you and you
will lack nothing.
The topic is in three parts.
3. REWARDS FOR THE SHEEP OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD: Psalm 23:1-6; Daniel 12:3; I Peter
5:4.
Friends of Jesus who follow Him to the end will: (i) Reign with Jesus and live with Him forever
in heaven. (ii) not lack good things (Psalm 34:10). (iii) be preserved and protected by God (Ezekiel
34:12). (iv) be successful in their examinations. (v) have victory over witches and wizards and (vi)
be perfect in all things (Hebrews 13:20,21).
If you turn away from your bad ways and let Jesus the good Shepherd live in your heart, you
will be saved, sanctified and enjoy all these blessings. There is all-round satisfaction and everlasting
life for true friends of Jesus the Good Shepherd.
QUESTIONS:
1. Who wrote Psalm 23 and what was his occupation?
2. Who is our good Shepherd?
3. How does the shepherd care for his sheep?
4. Who are the sheep of Jesus?
5. Mention some blessings that the sheep who follow Jesus to the end will receive.
6. How can a sinful child become a sheep of Jesus?
MEMORY VERSE: “I am the good Shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the
sheep” (John 10:11).

SATISFACTION IN JESUS THE GOOD SHEPHERD
Psalm 23:1-6; Philippians 4:19; John 10:11-15.
Satisfy means to do enough or meet the need of somebody or something. Satisfaction is a noun from
the verb word satisfy. It means fulfilment of a need or desire. Mrs. Smith prepared a plate of cereal to
feed her baby. She then put the baby on her laps and fed him. Baby Matthew ate all the cereal. The
mother then put him on her shoulder to rock him to sleep. After about two minutes, baby Matthew
belched and then slept peacefully on his mother’s shoulder. The baby was fully satisfied with the food
which his mother had fed him.
Jesus our good shepherd loves, cares and provides all that we need to be satisfied. If you come to
Him, you will be fed and satisfied like baby Matthew in our story. It is time to come to Him now. Jesus
is waiting to receive you. He is calling you! The study is divided into three parts.
QUESTIONS:
1. Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Yes/No?
2. Mention three ways whereby the Good Shepherd cares for His friends.
3. ___________ keeps the sheep in proper place and position to enjoy the shepherd’s care and be
completely satisfied.
4. What does Jesus the Good Shepherd command His friends to do with those who are lost?
5. Mention three ways in which friends of Jesus can share the love of Christ.
MEMORY VERSE: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep”
(John 10:11).
