CHAPTER 1
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKROUND

I. Introduction
The students can affect the parental involvement helps to build strong
relationships between the parents and their child. There are many ways that
parents can get involved in their children’s education. It can give students
more academic achievements and better focus on their studies. However,
excessive parental involvement can sometimes lead to negative
consequences such as increased stress, reduced focus, and anxiety.

According to RA 11908 known as the Parent Effectiveness Service (PES)

Program Act, it was stated the PES Program will assist all parents and
parent-substitutes in strengthening their knowledge and skills in responding
to their parental duties and responsibilities amid the challenges of
innovation.

The study aims to examine the relationship between parental

involvement and student behavior, with a focus on understanding how
different levels of engagement from parents can affect their child's conduct
at school and beyond. It’s no surprise that involved parents tend to have
children who exhibit better behavior overall, while those lacking parental
support may struggle with issues like aggression or poor academic
performance. By exploring this topic in depth, researchers hope to provide
valuable insights for and parents alike, highlighting the importance of strong
parental involvement educators in fostering positive behavioral outcomes
for students.
Parental involvement has long been recognized as a crucial factor in
shaping a child’s behavior and academic success. Countless studies have
shown that when parents actively participate in their child’s education, it
can lead to positive outcomes such as improved grades, reduced behavioral
problems, and increased motivation. Parental involvement encompasses a
wide range of activities, including monitoring homework, attending school
events, communicating with teachers, and setting expectations for behavior
at home. Research suggests that parental involvement not only provides
students with necessary support and guidance but also helps create a sense
of accountability and responsibility.
